Just got an update:

Kunjal and abhishek both left for Leh today...

Its raining Leh rides this year..! Instead of monsoon coming..Leh rides are coming..!!

People are going to Leh as if its just 100-200 kms away from their city..!!

well here is a bit of correction in Abhishek2433 and Kunjal's ride to Leh. They left Delhi on 25th June i.e. Thursday morning at around 430am and reached Manali at 7pm.

Though its their hard luck that they not able to go to Leh due to traffic and no petrol, though as per me they should have thought about it and shoudl have carried extra petrol ...as said by Aryan Da, Leh is not something which you can do everymonth or weekend.... but yeah les see

They had a time constraint. And seems it took them 4 hours to get from Manali to Rohtang due to the traffic jam.

mmm if they had time constraint and on top of it they were stuck in jams then its fair n wise to turn back and explore other places, which I think they are doing...will meet them tomorrow at Jhilmil Dhaba and then find out the details

They had a gas problem as well. They apparently got to know that Tandi was not stocking gas. Now if Tandi does not have gas, you cannot make it to Leh!

Very Well said ken da.. Tandi is the station on that height after which there is one after 300kms atleast!

And that is what happened,they had to return from the way and could not make it!

Except Ravi bhai No one was able to move the beast in the first go.. Everybody ended with a thuk thuk bump..

It happens ... a '86 Rd.. but Yes a wonderful ride....

@Rohit: Thanks for the update! But, they could've waited atleast a day or two and see whether there is any hope of getting any fuel from that petrol station, or perhaps from "other sources". A ride to Leh is not something that can be done every alternate month.

Anyhow, I am sure we are in for a wonderful triplog and pictures, soon.

Unfortunately Aryan Da.. that would not happen,due to lack of some planning and info,they had to return from mid way..
There were some landslides that happened,due to which some problem is created!
More Update subjected to next fone call to kunjal!

Lets restrain from pointing finger at any particular person LP, as it wont be of any help....as it is BlisterringIntelligence also didnt pin point any particular name who failed to launch the bike properly.... only he took Ravi Bhai's name as he was the only one who launched the bike properly and it was seen by all....okie so lets not repeat it brother

@ALL - Going through some posts I realised there prevailed a confusion.
Let me make it clear, I never had slightest intention of doing Leh this year. I never planned for it and it was last thing on my mind while riding.


In fact some of my friends know that I only wanted to do Rohtang and rode accordingly. I did what I planned & very happy (satisfied) after my ride.
Please do not consider my ride as a failed ride for LEH.

We went some kms further from Rohtang and came back. That's it !!
I wanted to come back via Narkanda but we both were running less on finances so dropped the plan and came straight to Ambala.

The ride was good. It was my first long on Avenger. Though I enjoyed riding it all through but I think my Pulsar is a better bet. Avy takes time in turning and front wheel is not much reliable while lil leaning.

We went some 30 kms ahead of Rohtang. Traffic jam took life out of me else we could have gone a lil further. The weather started playing games & we thought its better we return lest we merge in snow sitting on our bikes.

Apologies for I didn't call you as I stayed at a dhaba in Ambala. Didn't pass through Chandigarh anytime.
