Ill give those pics to other members, you can take pics some other day!! or u can just share them through FB.... The thing is my home net connection and size of the pics, they cannot be uploaded cz the speed!!!

Any suggestion on the best possible route from Solapur to Satara ???

Option 1 : Solapur - pandharpur - mhaswad - dahiwadi - Satara (no idea abt state of road :/)
Option 2 : Solapaur to pune and then to Satara (considerably longer route in terms of distance)

Option 2 : Solapaur to pune and then to Satara (considerably longer route in terms of distance)

Option 1 will be much better, I don't know about the road conditions, but yes, the distance is 140 odd kms less than option 2 route. You can save some time and fuel.

Option 1 wins hands down. The roads are ok. Small roads but much more scenic.

Option 2 - Road widening work is going out on Solapur to Pune stretch. so you may take anything between 4-7 hours to cover this stretch.

I am driving from Pune to Hyderabad on Sunday and have been advised to avoid the Pune - Solapur road due to road widening. I have been told by an old time friend on another forum that I should consider going via Pune - Narayanpur - Jejuri - Baramati - Indapur - Solapur - Hyderabad. The state highways on that side are decent enough.

You can look at this part of the route as well, instead of taking SH-70. While coming from Solapur, take a left turn from Indapur and join NH-4 at Narayanpur and go towards Satara.

If he reaches from Solapur till Indapur, he has covered half the distance. It is easier to take a diversion from Mohol (40km away from Solapur) and head towards Pandharpur. Alternatively, he can take a direct route from solapur town itself to Pandharpur.
