Just wanted to caution initiators and participants of Lavasa ride.

Lavasa road is full of corners and temptation to follow a faster rider is extremely high. Please take care while riding.

I was just going to post on that. Even Akash hasnt posted any Safety gear regulations for the ride, though it is present on page 1 but still.

I am not talking about just riding gear. . . I am majorly talking about safe riding.

Ride initiators / senior members of this ride, please post guidelines for the ride well in advance so people know what to expect.

I am out of this ride due to Ganesh Festival.

There will be no return time as such.

Anyone reading this, Pune or Mumbai folks, irrespective of we knowing each other personally, please post a reply on the below query if you have any knowledge regarding it..

'm selling off my 2009 ZMA next week, insurance of which has expired a month back... My query is - Do i need to have a valid insurance to sell the bike? if so, can it be transferred to the buyer?

(Reason being i'll have to shell out 1600 on it and i dont want to end up losing on it.)

Yes, a valid insurance is required and it can be transferred.

The PM i received was like :

Why do you want to spend Rs. 1600 on it. Go to IFFCO-TOKIO insurance (sasta-tikau, since you are selling the bike). I guess you will need arnd Rs. 600-800 to get insurance valid for 6 months. For more queries contact Deepak: 9604507641. Tell him your bike model, year, value and ask him the total cost to get the bike insured. The office might be closed today.

If you know Aundh McD, the office is on the 3rd floor, same building.

The settlement ratio is also good and hassle-free. All yamaha bikes (YFS, Pune) are insured by the same company.

If you want to save even more, get 3rd Party coverage instead of comprehensive, since it is only mandatory to have 3rd party insurance.

Thats a sure shot way of saving money provided he informs the owner it has 3rd party insureance, not comprehensive one.

Speak to united india assurance near Z bridge and see if they have a cheaper quote.
