    • Hi Eshan,

Don't you think, RK will be pretty small considering the size of Mumbai gang? If all of them turn out.

Last big Mumbai-Pune G2G was renamed G66G (Due to the no. of participants)
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

My opinion we stick to our schedule as we can go to the wind mills also, the fields would be lush green now...photography bhi hojayegi... else m game for both the destinations

I am in Pune only, just bit busy and seeing Ishan take the responsibility quite seriously, kept quiet.

I sincerely feel that combining Newbee ride and Mumbai-Pune G2G is a disastrous idea. Imagining 60 mumbai riders and 17 pune riders accommodating at RK's gives me daytime nightmares.

Concept of Newbee ride is to gently introduce them to group riding / dynamics and make ourselves comfortable to ride with them in future rides.

For this reason, a location - Smile Stone was chosen. It has wide good quality roads with no ghats in between. It also has ample parking and sitting capacity.

I suggest that Pune-Mumbai G2G should be kept on a later date and not be mixed with Newbee ride.

The smilestone ride will be executed as planned.

              1. As Vishwas has rightly said the route to Smilestone fits perfectly for a Newbie Ride.

2.Ride to smile stone also fits in the time frame available to Most members on that day. We had Discussed ride to Lonavla with Mumbai guys before finalising this ride but as Mumbai guys are partying on Sat, matching the time frame wont be possible hence we are continuing with Smile stone ride.

And as Dheeraj said it would be Awesone scenery at Wind mill farms, we can head there if time permits and if all the members are okay.

Please arrange Pune-Mum. combined G2G some other time... im sure New members would like to join once they are acquainted with groupriding in their induction ride.

@ all the members coming to Smilestone ride please be present to weekday G2G on coming Wed for Briefing and gear check.

              so -

                • A relatively small query on R15 v1.0

                  1. Engine oil capacity
                  2. would Motul 700v/300v be ok for usage on the R15?
                  3. Good tyres (Front and Rear) for the v1.0 which would be a direct fit require a wider one than the stock.
                  4. Any known shop for good stickering (preferably) / painting job that can be done economically.
                  5. Mirrors: Require the ones with indicators (Where can I get them)
                  6. Where to do electrical modifications in Pune (Nana peth technologies Ltd. mechs/items are not preferred)
                  7. Will the stock battery support 55watt bulbs or would the installation of projectors would cancel out the requirement for the 55watts.
                  8. Would a Rear mudguard mod (Something like that on the 200NS) cause heavy mud flinging? is Any addition like rear tyre hugger possile to install?

                  • Guess I stirred up a controversy here...Yippee

Well, I was game for the Mumbai + Pune G2G, but didn't intend to group it with the newbie ride. Yes, the new members need to get accustomed to group riding and basic riding etiquettes.

But looking forward to a mega meet probably for breakfast at Lonavla or otherwise 'Aamby'.

                      1. WITH oil filter change - 1.00L, WITHOUT oil filter change - 0.95L
                      2. Motul 700V ? AFAIK, there is only 300v. There is a 7100 10W40 though incase that's the one you confused with?
I have been personally on the 300v for the last 35,000Kms+ with drain intervals of 5000Kms and I'm satisfied. But, then again to each his own. The Semi Synth 5100 is good too.
                      3. Again. Why a wider tire?
                      4. Stickers- Funky's, MG Road if you want ready-made. He has a good variety. Painting - Not much of an idea.
                      5.
                      6. What kind of Electrical Modifications?
                      7. The Stock battery doesn't support 55W halogen bulbs. HIDs/Projectors of 35W-40W filaments should suffice.

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."
