I had been to Velas aound 2 weeks ago, some information might help you in planning

~ There are no hotel in Velas - you get only home stay. This is peak season so you need to book in advance
~ I had spent 2 days to see the hatchlings, but I wasn't so fortunate. One day trip will not be so fruitful unless you are very fortunate person and the tutrles come out to see you
~ The roads are good and bad. Do not expect a lot. The best road to take is Tamhini - Mangoan - Goregoan - Mandgad - Bankot - Velas.
~ Home stay charge around 300/- per person for stay + 2 time meal. However do not expect a lot as they will provide basic things for night sleep. It is better you can take a sleeping bag with you.

Incase you need any other info let me know. Also it is better to have you lunch on the way near Mangoan (Goa highway) before lead towards Velas.

we would be 4/5 people in our group so ~Rs/-2500 per day would be fine. Any +/- few hundreds can be adjusted if the place is really good.

Go to Laxmi Automobiles in Nana Peth,it is infront of Modern Bakery.This shop do have all the officially imported LS2 cause he is the only authorised distributor of LS2 in India,do bargain or @ ebay.com eastwins is also there get in touch with him,but I will suggest Nana Peth as U can try the helmet & check the features firsthand.

Got this one for Rs3700 with an added smoked visor. Which helmet did you buy?

We had stayed near Palolem beach in South Goa, at a Hotel called Sunbeach. The air conditioned room was 1800 per night per room. Another group of friends stayed right on the beach at some shack, cant remember the name, for 600 bucks per night for 2 I guess. This was in November with no prior booking for the 600 bucks room.

@xzibit - Are you sure this one was for Rs3200?? according to my knowledge he was offering this one for Rs2800.

Does your model has G-pump in it? With the G-Pump as mine FF358 was for Rs3600 + Visor Rs500 = Rs4100. bargained for Rs400
