Some posts ago, I had recommended a format for G2Gs. I remember it was at a time when there was some flaming between Eeshan and Shrinath about the philosophy of the G2G. If we were to follow the format in an even informal manner, each G2G would be an infotainment experience.

The post is very well in my memory and is an extremely disciplined way of having a serious meet. Many of us including Vishwas, Rohit and some others have tried to bring some technical flavor to G2Gs in vain. It is most unfortunate that members are unable to take advantage of a rich set of talented individuals.

While your format of bringing method to madness is the ultimate goal, there has to be a start somewhere. Maybe if all the members could just pitch in with confirmations for their attendance on G2Gs and rides, it would be a good start.

The post is very well in my memory and is an extremely disciplined way of having a serious meet. Many of us including Vishwas, Rohit and some others have tried to bring some technical flavor to G2Gs in vain. It is most unfortunate that members are unable to take advantage of a rich set of talented individuals.

While your format of bringing method to madness is the ultimate goal, there has to be a start somewhere. Maybe if all the members could just pitch in with confirmations for their attendance on G2Gs and rides, it would be a good start.

Just my thought:
A 30 mins session on technical/touring topic on every G2G would be of great help.

Normally, we do ask questions to Vishwas/NV or any friends over there for any doubts starting from issues like Bike's maintenance to Touring places/road conditions to legal issues related to Bike.
I gain knowledge on every G2G, whether it's little or large. But this is limited to the problems we've faced till date. Whereas there are lot more to discuss apart from those.

So any session on any topic, might be repeitative for someone, but largley it will serve the purpose for most of the juntas(I believe ).

We all can meet in next G2G to discuss about the topics on which sessions could be taken and then on priority basis, that can be executed.

P.S. Please don't make it like a school though, after a hectic day in office, we come to G2G to meet our biking buddies to spend some time forgetting all the sh**s happened in office

No one wants to make it a school. It is just that there should be something that you carry back with you when you leave a G2G. Whether it is some technical knowledge, a ride plan, awareness of a new ride destination, road conditions, new products, DIY, new stores or new friends...anything.

Sharing this vital information may not take more than a couple of minutes and then one can be back to the usual bakar that goes on.

A G2G on the lines of what follows...

All gather at GrubShup/Roopali, normal joshing/bakar for some time, eats + drinks ordered, high fives/arse kicks given/received, "abey saaley, be*****d, mera jacket tent ke liye/pichwadey ke liye kyon istemal kiya" etc etc. (umm, had heard someone offering one with this triple use, now, who can it be)

Secy raps on the table " Ok, guys, ignition on" This is the code word for all bakar to stop.

Tech stuff, advice, PPTs etc start. 30 odd minutes is ok? No? Fine, another 10 odd minutes.

No chhadi/danda, wagging fingers, standing on the bench/outside the venue, "Please meet me tomorrow" in the diary. Also, absolutely NO ogling at teacher's cleavage unless so mandated by extreme provocation. (This last statutory warning for dirty and relatively old men like Vishwas and self.)

After seeing/making PPTs for 10hrs a day, enduring pune traffic to come to a venue, for 30 more minutes of PPT!!

On a serious note some suggestions
- Lets start with Technical discussion once a month (say 1st g2g of each month)
- Decide the topics beforehand on the forum
- Interested speakers can post a confirmation on the g2g invite
- All points must be covered in the allotted duration (15-30 min) and not carried over to sutta spots or parking lot khopchas

What is all this fuss about? Last 2 G2Gs I attended (I do confess to have not attended that many in the past year ), but in both I had something technical and biking related to discuss.

The usual course has always been like this:

Starting off with bharat milaap bakar, hi/hello, mc/bc, CBR breakdowns , faale return my knee guards/ gloves, motorsport, did you see that post by that moron on so and so thread hahahaha.
Moving on to 'chal chal bhukh lagi' butter chicken / burger.
Over dinner and afterwards till the time we leave: Something meaningful related to past / future rides, breakdowns, engines, pistons, cornering, niggles, HIDs, blown fuses etc, etc, etc.

Of course, people who tend to leave early never get to this last bit so I would suggest that people come to G2G, even if the come late. Because thats the time the real biker discussions happen.

try to attend one of the pune g2g`s.. the ruckus we create, manages to chase away any girls present in our vicinity.. the surrounding 1km radius becomes a no-girl zone

Agreeing with Antz.

I seriously dont know what is the fuss about topics and code of conduct. I have never had a g2g where the topics involved sarees and petticoats. It has and will continue to be about biking.

Technical topics has been washed out lately, this is one thing that can be checked for a solution as to why so. One on one doubts are solved in front of other members.

Ride plans are taking place during g2g itself. G2g's are kept to decide where the next weekend ride takes place.

Why this kolaveri now?
