Breakfast Ride to Lonavala

Meeting point - Hotel Roopali, FC Road at 7.00 am.
Departure for Lonavala at 7.20 am.

Hi Guys, I am new here and would love to meet the group for future rides. Actually I just got my Duke 390 and went on a solo ride to Lonavala early today, so I am kicking myself for not checking this thread yesterday... Will join next time.

Keep a watch on this thread for know offline G2G meet time and location. It is usually held every wednesday.


It was a great fun ride yesterday.

Sumud - Sorry for leaving you behind. But liked your sensible riding style.

Imran - As an accomplished photographer, would have loved to feature in at least some photos ;-) (Keeping aside pillion ride photos)

hello guyz, any road in/around pune where i can check the top speed of my bike..!!

I own a p180 ug4. Top speed until now is 111kmph on old bombay pune highway in pcmc grade separator.

I seriously doubt that you would get any answer here. We don't bother about top speed of our bikes....we enjoy riding at whatever pace is suitable for terrain.

Try the route towards mahabaleshwar... but please ride safe and wear full gears!

Had a nice Sunday ride with Pune folks..

There were 5 singles (2 R15, 1 Avenger and 1 P220 and a CBR250R), at least a dozen of Twins (read N250/300R & a 650).

To lead the pack were a V4 and an I4 pair which kept causing roars reaching crescndo everytime they zoomed past in all its glory. Such superb the RSV4 and FZ1 are !

With both the superbiker being a Ninjette sometime, it was all Ninja day. I hope those riding the singles yesterday too convert into Ninja boys soon


@imrandkhan : Nice set of pictures there.. especially the FZ1 ones. I was scared with the what ifs doubts when Vishwas blasted the bike with a power wheelie.. . There were cows sitting on the bridge which could have gone bersek due to the sound . Then somebody mentioned that there's an ABS equipment, which to me is a nice feature to have on two wheels.

Edit: @trustvishwas: i trust your and the bikes braking skills well, it is just the momentary thought flow i had which i've shared here above

1. There is no ABS / traction control on FZ1. FZ1 is the cheapest of all liter class bikes. So it does not have these, or any power modes, traction control etc.
2. That power wheelie was unintended. I was accelerating quite slowly to avoid power slide/ wiggle but once I hit 8k rpm, torque came in like a waterfall and resulted in a small 3-4 inch (I think) wheelie.
3. I do not trust my own braking skills....
