Hey all,

Does anyone have any updates on the RC printing problems in the Pune RTO? Every time I inquire, i get the same answer saying stationery is not there to print the RC's. My bike is now over 5 months old and I have no estimate on when the RC will arrive. Just wanted to know what others with new purchases are experiencing?

Not only you, but everybody in Pune are facing the same problem and I don't see a solution to it. Be it new purchase or transfer case, it is taking months and they are giving the same reason of stationary. My RC arrived 4 months after I applied, so just to let you know, it is normal these days.

The Seven Sisters Sojourn

Hi there everybody.

It has been a long time since I posted here. I am not in Pune most of the year so removed myself from the Pune Chapter Whatsapp gp too.

As some of you might know, I, along with my Leh team, had planned a long ride in North East India, to take in all Seven Sisters of Assam, Arunachal, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. It would be a 22 day ride from 3rd to 24 Dec.

Sadly, due to a number of personal and professional reasons, we would not be doing the ride this year and have postponed it to 2017.

I am posting the planning material for this ride here, in the hope that it will benefit the chapter.

Need route from Pune to Surat

Hi riders,

I am planning to travel to Surat from Pune. Can you guys please help me on which route I should take. Specially which route should be taken to cross Mumbai. As I am planning to start ride from Pune on next Friday at 3 pm I think thane route may have more traffic.

And please guide me how much time this 450km ride should take? I will me riding on my Thunderbird 350.

Hi I think you should take the belapur thane road and then go to Ghodbunder Road and then towards surat once you reach NH8. This route should have less traffic than the route via chembur shantacruz western express way

If its possible, i would suggest you leave as early as possible in the morning.
I did a trip to Rajasthan last month and left Pune around 12 noon (big mistake). It took me almost an hour to just get out of Pune due to traffic and on top of that its already become so hot like its summer.

I had reached Surat around 7.30. So 7-7.5 hours depending on how frequently you stop.
I tend to stop every hour or so .. usually before

the belapur thane road as suggested before is fine and probably the shortest also.

I will be leaving from wakad so it won't be issue for me to cross pune. Suerly will try to travel as soon as possible.

One more route was suggested by a guy who travelled earlier suggested to go by SH48 till bhiwandi and then take chinchoti anjur phata road. Is that road in good condition and safe to travel at evening time.
