Sorry to hear bout Tenhut's mother. Hope things are fine now. My wishes with her! Got the news in mahab itself but my cell didn't have network at all so couldn't acknowledge.

Wonderful time I had with all you guys. Thanks a lot. Twitter doy, Rishabh and Ram ji, thanks for forcing me to come to the meet or else would have missed the fun. Pads (or should I say p*** ) you were hilarious. Reminded me Bibek's performance at Mastermind's farmhouse MG, Hydro, Satyen baba, Inder paji.. awesome g2g.

This is what happened with one of the tech mahindra employees near his null stop office last friday.

It was around 1.15am yesterday when I completed deployment. Since cab facility from Sharada is at 2.30am, and also my house is only 15mins walk from Sharada, I decided to take the long walk back to home. Probably this was the most regrettable decision J.



At 1.30am , I was exactly near SNDT bus stop on Karve road when 2 people on bike came behind me. I realized it soon that something is going to happen, one guy came and started beating me and pushed me to ground and tried to snatch my mobile and wallet . From nowhere I picked up all the energy and put up brave resistance and shouted loudly (although there was no one on the road). In the midst all these ,the good thing was, I noted the bike no”.

I started running and went inside a nearby apartment for safety. I came out after 20 mins only to realize that those people were outside the apartment and now they were 3. I called up my friends and cried for help, (I was running out of currency in mobile and my battery was dried up giving the warning beep -all the problems come at same time J).



When 5 of my friends reached the place on two wheelers, the robbers outside the apartment started throwing stones. Soon my friends called me and insisted not to come out of the apartment. When the situation was under control, I came out and we started moving but couldn’t. They caught hold of us and started misbehaving. When it was out of control, we called up the Police(Dialed 100) and it took 10-15 mins for the police to reach the place. Robbers silently parked the bike in parking lot and ran away throwing stones at us. As I had noted down the bike number I could identify the bike. Police started enquiring some people sleeping around. Sooner, one of the three robber come out to pick up the bike and police caught him. Then we went to Kothrud police station and filed a FIR. I hope that other 2 robbers will be caught.



By the time I reached home it was 5 am. In the quest of saving 1 hr I wasted 4 hrs had put up my life under big risk……..!!!!

This is the biggest lesson I have learnt “Don't try to be too brave"…..!!!! J



Please Note:

1) Never go by walk if it is too late.

2) Dial 100 to call up Police control room.

3) Try to get the evidences like the vehicle no.

God this happened near SNDT. Tell u what there are many slum areas dotted around the Karve Road area and while travelling from there many times on my bike late at night seen people standing with swords on that road. Just be careful even during the day time over there. These people are upto no good.

Man the biggest good thing from your story is that you are safe. These guys are capable of anything in panicked situation.

You did a very brave thing by first getting into the apartment and calling your friends and police that time. Generally during these situations our mind seems to get blocked.
