I understand that r1100 and r1060 are the available options... just wanted to know which one is the preferred option

Since its Ramzaan time, I would be having my 'Sehri' at 5 and morning Namaz is scheduled at 5.30 am....!!!

IMO, GO IN FOR R1060.

r 1100 will not necessarily be better cos it has a very marginal rather no advantage in air fow rating for small engines.

if u plan to rip 24x7, go in for r1100 but just for the roar nothing else.

Good on you Shrinath, my wingman ! So its a 2 stroke so its gonna be fuming gases all over the road ! Now thats a turn off ! Spare parts being an issue is also a big turn off. But the bike is modded well and i plan to import DT forks for it to be real offroader ! Thats a turn on !

Get an RTR 160/180.
Its off-road ready almost right out of the box. It is light-weight.Has about the right amount of torque. It has one of the highest GC among the Indian bikes with 180 mm.

Most importantly, its versatile. It handles good , is decent on the highway and has excellent range for a full tank of fuel (esp the 160).

The engine is pretty much bullet-proof. I can comment because I have ridden it almost everywhere and anywhere. Its always been running at the very edge of its powerband (as I was always riding with either bigger bikes or lighter/faster riders).

The only downside,

1. Poor front forks
2. Bad OEM tyres (based on hearsay for me)

AFAIK, we must continue our daily routine while fasting and riding comes under my weekend daily routine....

I visited GMRT couple of months ago when I had gone to my friend's village - Bori - just a few Kms away from Khodad. One of my friend's cousins knew some professor from GMRT and hence it turned out a real nice visit to the place.

Huge radio telescopes 24x7 tracking their assigned air space. The sound of wind passing through those huge telescopes is really something man..

People! Please! can somebody do that for us? I found this post in the Mumbai thread. People, friends of Ketan, Please request him to arrange a visit to GMRT for all of us..

I would advise everyone to proceed to Nashik Phata from CME. I will meet you guys at Nashik Phata.. and will take you all thru a route near Tata Factory, which will bypass most of Bhosadi, Aalandi and all.. and is relatively clear route... and Short Cut. The route will bring us back on Nasik road again.
