Which idiot said that sticking to the lane causes issues? If you can't corner in your lane, your riding technique is an issue; not sticking to the lane.

When sagar crashed we learnt that pro biker gloves are worse quality, now when rockrz crashed we learnt about the distance and sticking to the lane too much can cause issues.

Where have I said that you had done cornering? You have said that you learnt that sticking to the lane too much can cause issue.

As everyone has said following things are very imp -
1. Always wear safety gear and carry documents (DL , RC , Insurance , PUC)
2. Always carry first aid kits and tool kits.
3. Ride sanely in your lane and within your comfort zone. Trying to follow faster riders is a trap.
4. Never ever push yourself or your bike to its limits.
5. Avoid overtaking in corners

I totally agree with the points NV mentioned.
And everyone should compulsarily follow it to be a part our group.

I feel we can have an induction session kind of thing new riders joining the team.They should attend atleast one offline meet before joining any ride and someone amoung us can explain our idea of biking as a group,our concern for safety.
This can help in reducing the initial high many riders come with while joining biker group(for someone biker gang)

and let me put one more thing across...

@all new members (including me)-- dont think that knee guards are fro knee scrapping... they are meant to protect your knees in case of a fall... so do wear them whenever you are going for a ride... even if the ride doesn't call for cornering...

I hope all members take these safety measures.

As an honorary senior member, I would like to throw a lavish treat to all the pune and mumbai xBHPians this saturday and sunday. Last time the 5000 posts happened fast, but this time it was difficult with Vishwas and Satyen spotting and highlighting each and every general conversation which they call OT. But inshah-allah my plan of waiting in office till late, till Vishwas and Satyen log off and then post on different threads paid off! and I am here where I am today.

Btw, I would like to give them a bigger treat as they made it difficult, but they made it special for me!
