@10, the dyno chart definately is one of the ideal ones that you can have on a road going bike.
however, i doubt anyone will be able to handle so much power!!
Imo, anything over 1.236bhp is utterly useless... Infact, a cool xbhpian has been using just that power since ages and another one ,famous for a pipe, has even crashed when he wasnt using any of the said power above this magical figure...

On second thoughts, Lavassa is too short. May be if i wake i will go have chai in mahabaleshwar and get back

@ sharan - avoid tamhini at all costs, the roads suck and you wont able to really enjoy the ghats as every turn there is a pothole or some offroad which makes you feel why the hell i cam on this road. If it was a beautifully laid tarmac yes you can play with the roads but thats not the case, instead take the lonavala, pen, alibaug route.

@sharan, take the pune-lonavala-khopoli-pen-nagothane- roha route. its a bit less scenic but the roads are not that bad.

however, if you are planning for a leisure ride, consider the tamhini ghat. yup, the roads are bad but the route is scenic.

if you just wanna flyby to reach the destination faster, consider the khopoli route. but either leave early or cross khopoli before 6.00 pm or it gets rather scary on those roads

Both the routes would be too much to tolerate during day timez. But if you ask me for a personal choice I would prefer to go via Pune-->Tahmini->Kolad-->Roha-->Kashid and while coming back I would be doing Kashid-->Alibaug-->Pen-->Khopoli-->Lonavala-->Pune. The roads on tahmini are manageable , by manageable I mean in my unicorn with such a humungus structure on top I was comfortable doing that stretch , but faired vehicles like R15 might pose some issues (please ask srinath for this experience) . . And lonavala route is a little boring according to my choice . . Try to leave early say by 6 in pune and hit the beach resort by 10 ..Carry loads of water to drink along the route..

P.S If you are already done kashid twice , why dont you check out shrivardhan, diveagar, harihareshwar. I am sure the route from diveagar to srivardhan is the most scenic beach drive I have ever witnessed . . Also these places would be less crowded compared to kashid

Yup, Shrivardhan, Diveagar, Harihareshwar, Murud goes by default. Doubt, about it this time, since it might be only a 1.5 Day trip.

Oh yeah, you guys did it recently, if I remember. I guess it would be the Lonavla, Pen route only then.

Won't it be a round trip? If I take the Nagothane Roha route? I guess? Have to check Maps.
