Don't be too hard on him. He posted whatever he thought was correct and so others have already corrected him. He has also accepted that whatever he had posted was wrong so no point in bashing him now.

Rainy season rides are fun only when its not raining

As for advice...
1) If you don't like riding slow then you could reduce your tyre air pressure a bit. It'll give you the extra surface area you need while braking.

2) Use the front brake very gradually since its much more likely to lock the wheel.

3) Be weary of potholes and don't ride fast unless you know the road (like vishwas sir said)

4) Be extra careful while turning on blind corners because if some vehicle's stuck and you see it at the last moment, emergency braking or swerving can be pretty tricky.

5) Ride slow.

6) I guess you already know this but the road is at its slipperiest when it *just* starts raining as the water mixes with the oil and debris on the road. Takes a few minutes of rain to wash all this sludge away and then its much safer.

Nothing much in Lonar apart from the crator. 440kms from Pune. Not a single decent retaurant as well. You will have to stay in Lodge. There is one bang opposite the bus stand which is decent.

There is an MTDC Hotel bang in front of the Crater. Food there is decent+, view is awesome.. I will post a picture soon. In a bit of a hurry now. You can trek to the bottom of the crater right down to the lake if you are the adventurous types.

btw, did anyone know that if a fibre pannel is over tightened, it cracks!.

I attempted to fix an old rattle by removing the rubber bushing and tightening the part directly to the metal anchor. obviously i wasn't dumb so i used thick metal washers to assist. but i guess i wasnt smart enough and i over tightened the bolts.
result? cracked side pannel and the rattle is worse than ever.

tip for diy:- never attempt to remove an rattle by over tightening the pannel. it might crack and result in a worse condition

@RR I have a deal for you... You can use my bike... but replace the FR-RH indicator(Rs.145) and the front fairing(Rs.1300) regardless of whether you drop it or not (This will be rent.. I broke this yesterday on an off-road ride and apart from these... the bike is in tip-top condition ).

But before we seal the deal. Do you need the bike for the entire weeks or for weekends only? Also, I will need any simple 100cc bike for commuting in return* .

I need it for a single day. Rs 1445 is too high for a day unless if it means that paying that amount permits me to return u a battered bike back without having to pay for it :P

I was offering it for multiple off-road rides.. on multiple weekends for that amount .. For 1 day.. I will let you have my insurance refund money (i.e. A cool 50% discount ). Any further broken parts will also have to be replaced. And AFA I know that the bike can take any abuse you can subject it to so long as you don't drop it .

P.S.: Bonus Benefit: The rear tyre is Semi-Off road.
