Regards to the ergonomics ,you hit the bulls eye ,i am grossly dissapointed by this mish mash of positions

heck I was much much comfortable on the R15 for long tours & on this machine 200kms tire me out

hopefully your solution of raised handlebars will solve my problem

This also could be because of my short height though I didn't ever feel this kind of pain even on p220

    • Ashu just called from Leh... everything is alright... didn't talk much though... please do update here if anyone has more info.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                • Silencer Paintjob

The front half of my RTR' silencer got rusted very badly and with rains setting in it was getting worse. The ASC guy said he will not be able to do anything and suggested me to get it done somewhere outside. So i take it to my local mech and he says the rust can be cleaned with an emery paper and the whole silencer can be repainted with a black canned spray paint.

I was a bit skeptical about using an external paint on a part that gets extremely hot and moreover the mech said this paint will eventually peel off due to the heat.

Half heartedly bought a can of Bosny black and gave it to my mech. 2 Hours later, the whole silencer is painted and to my shock, the paint is shiny gloss black as opposed to the matte black of stock bike and my bike is of T.gray which is again a matte gray. Bottom line, the silencer is looking fugly now.

I could have gotten away with it by not looking at people on the road who are staring at it like an ugly duckling. I am redline rider and to my shock whenever i stop at signals, there is lot of smoke coming from the whole silencer. It is quite embarrassing and the breathing those fumes isn't exactly comfortable either.

I wanna get it painted to matte/powder black and a heat resistant paint (stock specs preferably) Can anyone out there help me out where can i get this done in pune.I stay in PCMC and i wouldn't mind venturing into the city for a couple of hours to get this done. Please help me out.

                  • How about painting all body in shiny black/grey to match your silencer? You can also go in for chrome plating silencer to retain that nice shiny feel. I heard that your shiny silencer is a chick magnet. Is it true? If yes, I also need to repaint my bike asap

I believe that you would need powder coating to be done for your silencer. Any paint would not last long on silencer. Also power coating is not a job for couple of hours. It is more like 3-4 days.

It is available at any hardware shop but as he has mentioned, it is not useful for using on silencer.

Good choice for bosny.....as mentioned in venus you will also get various colors!!!! even camoflage is there if you like it....apart they have heat resistance paints too (Costly though) but worth the value!! Apart from bosny they have other manufacturers too...use of lacquer can be done for fast drying and overall protection.

Kaay he!!! You should entrust 'chick magnet' responsibilities to 'college going' youngsters in our grp.

Mr. Reverrend is discussing a serious problem here and you enquire about the availability of the spray

Available at Funky's for sure. (MG Road)

Yes. Never heard some1 using the spray on a silencer.

Do these paints really work on something like a silencer??? I never knew this.
