I think the fractured rib raises the importance for use of a chest protector and regarding riding pants i think many are using it, but yes that is also a necessity.

Well really sorry to hear about the crash. But its good that he was wearing all the riding gear...

About these 'riding pants'.. I've never heard of them... Is it some armor clad pant sorta thing?

Oooh! A fractured rib can be nasty! it hurts with every breath or so I was told by the friend I used to tickle!
We SHOULD discuss crashes more often, it brings up a lot of good points! like the one Shrinath has! (or has been doing for a while now)

@Rockkrzzz have you considered play in the rubber bush that holds the tyre?
Step 1 - Check the Shock Absorber settings on both the sides
Step 2 - Check the Chain allignment
Step 3 - Check the effin rear tyre and the RIM
Step 4 - Check the Swing Arm play by physically pushing it
Step 5 - Check its not the titanium breather pipe causing any issue
Step 6 - Check if you can sell the Hero Honda Junk and switch back to CD100, after all you corner well on it

@ all - I have vega boolean 3 full face helmet, and a local sleevless jaket which i call as my riding jacket pls let me know what else should i buy?? (only essential basics) m not in a mood to splurge on axo boots like things (as of now)...
also, kindly mention the exact cause(and remedy too) of yesterday's unfortunate accident, so that we can take some learning from that and apply it in our day today life.

You will need a full jacket not sleeveless one with armor guards, knuckled gloves if not full gauntlet than half ones, knee guards and good shoes which can protect your feet in case of crash. You can take army boots from CAMP which can take atleast one crash or woodlands will also do.

@ashu aka HYPERION, i think you are talking about alignment. thats not what i am worried about now. my concern is with swing arm play.

a badly aligned rear/ front has the following symptoms.
1) it will tend to pull to one side.
2) it will slide into one direction if you lock the rear wheel.
3) it dont give you a wobble, it will give you a sensation of loading one arm more than the other.

what i am facing is the following:-

1) if i let go the handle, the bike goes in a straight line. but if i take a turn, it requires a lot of effort to get it straight. seems like it does not want to get out of the turn.
2) when ever i go over the while divider lines, the bike loses the composure.
3) any speeds over 60 and below 80, the front used to shake if hands are taken off. after the change of front bearing set, this has disappeared.
4) my old cd 100 feels better taking corners than the hunk. this is the sense, it does not give stray "losing composure" feeling.

well, I will be showing the bike to a couple of reputed mechs that i have noted yesterday and will get back soon as to is my rear busted or not

I didnt read your earlier post, was just responding to Shrinath. In any case, the symptoms you describe could be caused by a multitude of problems (forks, chassis , rims, swingarm). Did you have a bad crash recently? The handle bar shaking could also be because of the tyres.

as for the wednesday thing, its absolutely cool with me. knidly lem me know the time and venue (i hope i can attend that even without the gloves and boots )

Has anyone purchased any of the new xbhp tees from Corporate Identitee?? Was curious to know reg the quality of fabric used.

I ordered one yesterday..will take time for the delivery..once its with me will surely update you bro about the quality..

Alternately you can check on the facebook link which Sunny posted.. there someone named Deepak Giri mentioned that he had recvd the Tee and the fabric quality is good...(based on his comment I ordered mine)

Just come with your helmet that's all.. Safety gear is for the weekend rides.. but you can wear it to the G2Gs if you want to

While going I followed the NH4 -Nipani - Uttur - Ajara - Amboli Ghat...
While coming back it was same till Uttur and then Gargoti - Kagal - NH4....

It was a fantastic journey, Goa is green even on this red hot heat season.
Nokia OVI did a fabulous job inside Goa. It knew streets which were one-car wide...
Saw a big (at least 10) super bikes group in Goa. 5-6 Intruders, 1 R1, Old Blades, Gixers and probably a goldwing...(not sure)

The collective IQ of the discussions at this thread is mind numbingly low.
The likes of Sirhud Kalra and the young college kids of today shun this group and for that matter this forum because of the utter lameness that goes on out here. ......................................
