@All - Im checking this restaurant called Kollage which is bang opposite in front of Law Colg rd CCD, besides Indsearch institute. By tomorrow evening I would have an update if they can allot us some space for holding a G2G there. They have ample parking space which is in front of the restaurant and the costs of tea, coffee, and other snacks are relatively cheap when compared to Grubshup, eka velis Roopali cha dosa kiva uttapa is also costly in front of Kollage menu.

The reason why Im suggesting this place is because -

1) Bored of same ol grubshup
2) They just purchased a new floor so if we tell you can expect atleast 5-10 or more they can allot us easily
3) Parking is in front
4) Menu is hell cheap, personally tried there for snacks

Again, Im still in talks with the owner, this is not the confirmation, pls check Wednesday morning for updated G2G venue.

My wife and I had had some snacks there sometime in 2009. I remember that the taste was par for the course. The prices were okay. The lane in which Kollage is situated is a bit dicey for parking bikes as there are a number of PG-type flats there and students frequent the lane quite a bit. The lane to the right is Kanchan Galli and this lane has oodles of parking space. Only, one may have to ride a bit longer till the base of the hill, esp on Sat evenings. But as the G2G is normally held on a Wed, there should be no prob about space at the beginning of the lane.

I didn't know Kollage served filter kaapi else would have tried it being a fan myself.

Update on G2G venue :

Me and Ishan had discussion with Kollage. They need a minimum billing guaranty of Rs.100/person billing for sitting there for couple of hours. Looking at usual consumption pattern at our G2G, we don't think that this is feasible.

People are requested to suggest alternate G2G venues. Basic requirements are -

Decent parking space
seating space for 10-12 people WITHOUT ANY COMMITMENT ABOUT MINIMUM BILLING.

We had discussion about various destinations. However, I don't know how many of us would be interested in a small breakfast ride of around 100 km one way. I request members to please post their inclination to join the ride here so that we can take a decision by day end.
