  • How is Utsav and his Audi Made Single Cylinder Inline 1 RTR gay joke? Isnt it like epitome of performance modifications?

Btw who fought? and is there like a proper plan for this sunday? anyone willing to lend a bike\gear for a small ride?

    Edit: Shrinath:
Good question there. Race track conditions are different than normal highway conditions.
On a Highway, especially in India you can expect even a train or a battle tank being parked in your side of road. So when you are taking a blind corner, stick to the riding line on YOUR side of the road. Irrespective of how many lanes does the road have.

When you are dead sure of the corner being safe (this by experience or by vision) the line that you take is no different from the usual straight line. Its a line where you can safely carry the speed. Knee down or not.

When it comes to 'sports riding' in a controlled environment, the above rue still applies, the line for it is something that may be the CSS certified pros here could clarify!

This is not valid for riding on track.

It was a fantastic ride. Tbh I came for this ride because Vishwas had called for it. I know his rides have good turnout....good speeds and good roads...are on time and one is back home by 12 pm at the most. Good ride indeed.

So because there are other threads for technical topics we beat the same gay bush out here ? We can discuss technicalities in the other respective threads without being kids in the pune thread.

Yeah ! all those who are saying I should have picked up a phone and called Vishwas...well I talk to him everyday...I could include his name in the last sentence because he is the only one I know who wont be offended by what I say. He has my blade and I have his Ninja right now..and this happens often...I go to his place for dinners and am good friends with his wife and kids and untill time permitted I used to meet him just about every alternate day. My beef is not with vishwas or any other person in particular..my beef is with the general attitude which lacks of anything to do with bikes. So hurry not to take the moral highground saying I shouldn't be flaming here. The flaming is HERE on the forums because HERE is where its needed the most...not on a bloody damn phone.

Its funny how people think I am only aiming this at Vishwas. Infact I aint aiming it at him at all...I am aiming it at those who jump onto the jokes he makes and start ridiculing the newbies. Vishwas or others like Satyen Poojari aka our Fuehrer may do it for they share a different rapport with the newbies. YOU cant cause you aint them and you are as much a newbie as the newbie you are ridiculing. Now who am I aiming this at ?

I am new to xbhp and would be grateful if you humour my newbie question - when you say "gay", does it mean the non-straight sexual kind of gay or does it mean that the jokes are idiotic/foolish/stupid etc. This is a serious question so thanks in advance for the reply.

            Dear Icemang,
I dont think you are new to xBHP. When I say "gay" I mean both..the non straight sexual kind of gay and I mean jokes which are old as dirt. But mind you I don't mean the idiotic/foolish/stupid jokes. What may be idiotic to me will be smart to someone else so who am I to decide on that ? Your is a serious question indeed and I am glad to have made myself available to you to answer it. My beef was more with newbies feeling left out because ppl single them out..whether the newbie particularly deserves it or not is not of any concern to me. Maybe he does and maybe he doesn't. The problem is if I ridicule you and although you might deserve it..the other newbie who doesn't deserve it and has nothing to do with you and I, will watch our conversation and think the whole bag is a bunch of loosers. Get my point now ? Newbies like Sirhud thought this and left. Oldies like Tourojith saw this and left.

Hello dear friend... Allow me to help you out.

For your query on Peripheral Vision... give this a read

Hard Torque is the editorial section of xBhp where selected members pen down what they think about a particular issue related to bikes or biking.

              Or watch this:

As for cornering, what kind of corner are we talking about?
For starters Left hander or right hander ?

For more info on how to corner... read this:

Turning: The Art of Safe Riding

I guess the diagram on that page will help answer your query.

              • Well well, this was one of the reason why my posts reduced in this thread. The overall standard of Pune XBHP was reducing by day. Many old members don't even check this thread anymore. Many posts don't even refer to biking as such!

My suggestion to newbies: Please don't try to prove yourself in any overzealous ways. There are professional track racers in Pune XBHP. People who have more miles on their bikes than your age. You stand to be ridiculed.

My suggestions to the older members[not age wise]: Please don't single out the newbies just because of their incomplete gyaan and attitude. And lets create a more healthy atmosphere here.

On a good note, it was a great ride. ZXRs, YZFRs and CBRs all blasting down the road in the morning!!

                Cheers! And ride safe!

No one would be ridiculed. Anyone can ask really any kind of question even a stupid question but he would not be ridiculed . . . . i.e. unless he is hell bent on not listening and wants to get ridiculed.

                          +1 to you.

If you know, I was the one who suggested this format. The format suggested by me was a 20 min/half hour by one guy talking about anything related to biking. . . . may be cornering, may be touring, may be off-roading, may be engines . . . . absolutely anything related to biking. Rest of the time can be devoted to bakar session.

However, even after tremendous efforts by niranjanvaidya and a formal lecture by Antz.bin, no one showed the slightest interest in discussing anything related to biking. So I understood that this is just a time pass G2G having no actual relevance to biking and modified my behaviour accordingly.

How about another try? We could decide the topic here and interested people could look up the net for related information...

There's always something new to learn and it doesn't necessarily have to be about future upgrades to biking technology.. we could discuss the stuff they write in the 'hard torque' section..

Well there is only one solution. Reward in cash or kind!
Lets say you have a 20-30 minute session every g2g, there should be some reward for the guy who soughts to present the same. THe idea could be on anything related to motorcycle parts to ways to ride.

Lets say that he gets a free dinner, paid equally by the rest of the members in the G2G. Ultimately the risk on each of the other members would be 10-20 bucks which i believe is something everyone can contribute to. Lets call it the cover charge! If you forget to bring your cover charge, you can pay it as petrol

Any member can take up a topic and do a detailed analysis on the same and present before the group. Since there are automobile experts and noobs (like me) in the group, the noobs can always learn something or other and the experts can always chip in.

                                Now there can be situations.

                                1) Situation 1: Too many presenters.

There are a lot of guys who want the free lunch and there is a commotion to present. . We could do it on a random pick up of lots for each week.

                                2) Situation 2: Too less presenters.

If tHis fails to cut ice with most, we could randomly pick up some one from the group and allocate him the task. And it would be his duty to turn up and present the same to the group (subject to the persons availability). If he doesnt turn up or present, he would have the honors to pay for the entire group in the next G2G!! How abt that.

N.B. I know there is a loophole in this for Cash rich lazy bums who can get away by paying for the dinner. The world over, people with money often get their way. And since everyone is benefitting from the same, we would rather not worry!
