Seems like a great idea for some constructive motorcycling. I hope it doesnt rain that day ! I would like to suggest a new name instead of 'rally' as it might lead some thinkers to think of it as something else. I think xBhp 1st Delhi TsD would be more appropriate, though technical.

Not much to update actually. The event did not happen even though people did gather in large enough numbers. It turned out to be the 'usual' G2G. Most present were more interested in either being a volunteer, a marshal or a spectator rather than go hands on and 'risk' actual participation. In my understanding this could be due to some of these reasons:

1. The concept was not properly understood. This is nothing new that I have proposed but when something comes up on the awareness horizon for the first time, it does take time for full comprehension to happen.

2. The concept was not exciting enough. If this is the case then we have a losing proposition at our hands though deciding it to be not exciting without having run it even once does seem silly.

3. There was not enough time for it to spread amongst members. That could be an important reason considering just a little more than a week that the post was put up.

Nevertheless that the event did not happen today is no reason that it will never happen. I will put it up again for another day and hope people will show eagerness and commitment in participating. I will also appreciate feedback and suggestions from you all in this respect.

There is actually nothing new or outlandish about the TSD format as this is one of the commonest formats followed across the spectrum of motorsports. Events like the Raid de Himalaya, the Desert Storm Rally etc are all run on the TSD format. The only twist in our case were the bonus points that have been included to add to the fun.

I will also be happy if some other chapter across the country is willing to take the initiative and do this event in their city and will extend all help needed for that barring my actual physical presence there.
