I'm still interested in the feasibility of conducting it here at Trivandrum. I'll present the idea during the next G2G here and follow up with you. Thanks anyways for igniting the spark.

          Hi,

One clarification, are pillion rider allowed on for participation? As there is no racing or high speed involves pillion rider can be allowed, of course with proper safety gear.

As some some people like me likes to ride with my better half also for enjoyment and she also enjoys a lot. Or good friends occasionally for enjoyment.

If no, Kindly take this into consideration,

i was actually taking a note of this discussing for sometime now. I am game in giving this a chance if Old Fox sir and other mods are fine about this being carried in Bangalore. Since every weekend we have a G2G meet, we can discuss this and solidify the planning about how to go about it. As we normally have a healthy number of participants in every weekend G2G, it should not be a problem to execute this kind of plan

I shall be more than happy if you guys did it! In fact beat Delhi to it - say what?

The format, the rules and the timelines are all there in the first post. Do let me know if you need anything else.

When deciding upon the check points and the bonus locations, it will be best if you target a rally duration of about 1 hour and so limit the riding distance along the most probable route to about 30-32 kilometers. That way the time spent at check points and the bonus locations can all be accounted for within the 1 hour stipulation.

Here are the rules once again:

                RULES OF THE GAME

                1. 300 points for completing the course by registering at each of the 5 check-points.
                2. 20 points deducted for arriving early by every 1 minute when your total ride time is calculated by assuming the total distance covered by you were to be to be done at an average speed of 40 kph. 2 minutes under means 40 points deducted.
                3. 10 points deducted for arriving late by every 1 minute when your total ride time is calculated by assuming the total distance covered by you were to be to be done at an average speed of 40 kph. 2 minutes over means 30 points deducted.
                4. Bike in proper working condition with 4 mandatory documents. (DL, RC, PUC and Insurance) and most important with a working speedometer and odometer.
                5. Rider wearing Helmet, gloves, long pants, long sleeve shirt/jacket and shoes mandatory.
                6. Phone camera or the two devices separately.
                7. Electric powered 2-wheelers get extra 50 eco-points for helping reduce pollutants and the carbon foot-print
                8. Extra 50 points for every rider in full riding gear - helmet, riding jacket, riding gloves, riding pants/full knee guards, riding boots
                9. A rider + pillion team so fully attired get 75 extra bonus points.
                10. You can use any amount of support gadgetry to plan your route.
                11. Please ensure you sign each time-distance entry at every check-point done by the route marshal.
                12. Ensure the selfie is clear and contains you (without the helmet as all motorcyclists have pretty faces), your iron horse and the bonus location. Shaky, fuzzy or otherwise illegible photos will not be acceptable as bonus proof.
                13. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A FRIENDLY FUN ACTIVITY AND SO NEEDS TO BE TAKEN IN THAT SPIRIT. AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME XBHP IS DOING IT. SO LEARNING TIME FOR ALL WHICH IMPLIES NO FIGHTS OVER RESULT/CALCULATIONS .

DISQUALIFICATION - We will see you off unceremoniously for any of these REASONS:

                1. Failing to help either a fellow participant or to the public under emergency or life-threatening conditions.
                2. Actions that bring discredit to the xBhp community in particular and the motorcycling fraternity in general. And this strictly includes stunting, not obeying traffic rules and over-speeding on public roads.
                3. If you act discourteously to checkpoint marshals and pick disputes about time or distance notings.
                4. If you deface or damage any public property that identifies any check point or bonus location.
                5. If you change your motorcycle during the course of the event.
                6. If you do not show up at the flag in point - the xbhp Dhaba in this case - even 15 minutes or more past the time when the last participant has returned.
I don't let my motorcycles interfere with my motorcycling...

Those summarized rules brought a more clear picture @Old Fox sir.
Seems more clear and understandable. We will discuss it in our next GTA session in Bangalore and will get back to you after the conclusion/observations/inquiries before implementing it.
