I second that as well due to the expected large numbers. Sankey Tank would be ideal for pictures, but for larger groups, some place further out would be great.

Thats the reason we need to have a easier to reach Meeting Point #2 ala Hebbal flyover.

We can have a few 'select' people meet them and at the hotel and guide them, for the rest the signal after Hebbal flyover would be the meeting point.

Moreover, this place is easier to find/spot and can accomodate larger numbers and is not residential to cause any problems

So here's what we do, we have only 1 meeting point i.e. the first signal after Hebbal flyover in the direction of Nandi Hills.

IMO giving newcomers (GIR Troupe) directions to reach somewhere in Bangalore is like teaching a gorilla how solve integral calculus problems!
So a handful (2-3) of members can meeting the GIR troupe at their hotel and guide them to the meeting point (Hebbal).

    Everyone Ok with that?

      My suggestion about the venue:
      1. Fly-over just after Sanjay Nagar signal (This point is well before the Hebbal fly-over & right infront of the Cramster showroom / HP petrol pump, but on the other side of the road. There's plenty of open-space on the left side of the road, to park the bikes and wait for all fellow bikers to arrive).
Approx wikimapia location : Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world!
      2. Just after the Hebbal fly-over. (There's one big prominent white-colored function hall on the left-side, Sree Gandha Palace).

Sankey makes for an awesome back drop mate. These places close to the flyover are pretty mundane !
      Like i said..
I'll check that spot out to see if it'll be amiable to the '12-cylinder' orchestra that's scheduled to play

This is the spot i have in mind : Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world!

As usual, riding gear is a must. No chappals. Gloves, helmet and protective jackets are a must. Bring plenty of water. Get ur camera's. Take plenty of my pictures.

Don't worry dude. As long as you are wearing Helmet, Shoes, jeans/anything of thicker material, you are good to roll as these are mandatory.

Armoured Gloves/Jackets are expensive items and everyone cannot be expected to be in possession of them. It would be better for your own safety if you could save and invest in these items as and when comfortable to you!

As long as you the 'mandatory' items you can join in for a G2G anytime.

Though for the time being I would advise you to wear a jacket of some sort if possible, eg a denim jacket. This again is for your own safety, as it will protect you from minor road rash.

Don't worry about gloves and jackets. Actually it doesn't have to be riding gloves or jackets. Even a simple jacket will do. If you don't have a simple jacket then you could wear something thick and full sleeve. I have an extra pair of gloves though not riding gloves it will suffice. Do come along.

To add to the confusion, I had Fun World entrance, Jayamahal Road in mind for meeting point.

Ok, there's too much confusion about the meeting point!

As of now the options that have been posted are :-

                    1. Somewhere off Sankey Tank(?)
                    2. Some bunk close to Cauvery Theatre(?)
                    3. Signal post Hebbal Flyover
                    4. Funworld Entrance, Jayamahal Road

I still vote for #3 Signal post Hebbal Flyover as it the easiest and least confusing place to meet up, plus has plenty of open space to accommodate a large group, and is not a residential area.

                          i vote for 3 - Hebbal flyover.
would be good if silkboard/hsr/iblur/marathahalli guys can meetup @marathahalli and head out to hebbal via ORR.

That's a good idea. It kinda skipped my mind that some people can have a cool ride on the peripheral ORR before reaching the rendezvous point. Now that's good thinking.

                              Some more rules ....

                              1. Fill up fuel on the PREVIOUS day itself. Lets not waste time filling up fuel on the morning of the ride.

                              2. Be on time. It is imperative that everyone is on time. Barring the GIR Troupe, anyone late will have to play the catch up game since we don't want to lose precious minutes waiting. Riding the bike is more fun than waiting for people.

                              3. Hard armoured jackets/gloves are not mandatory. But protective clothing is mandatory. Perhaps jackets with thick lining will do too.

                              4. Anyone late will pay a fine of 2 eclairs and a permanent supply of water (for the rest of the ride) to everyone else in the group. So be on time!

                              Cheers!
