The road is not at all a problem as had been the earlier tooo, so mostly knw most of the bad streches till Ahemedabad or a little extended till Little Rann of Kutch (till the new Nano site) but after tht im blank. This is one reason I dont want to ride on tht strech @ nite.

The most important thing im worried bout is the weather. Ahemedabad is fully dry for the whole last weeek. Day before yesterday the temp was around 48C in the city. Tht means the route will be more hot. Rajasthan is always hot agreed but in summers itz tooo hot. My question is simple, can u ride in 48C rather put it this was should you ride in this temp? (I wanna ride, there is no doubt here.)

Satyen is out, he has some commitments.

@Ajinkya: Where r u man. No updates from you.

    Anytime man.. it's my pleasure....

    48C.. I'll tell u another figure..
My cousin, owns a 08 Skoda Superb.. He's posted in Punjab and went there by car on 22nd of April. At one point in Gujrat on NH8, the MID showed the out side temp as 51C. Cliamte control kept him cool inside but u can imagine what sort of heat is out there.

This no way to deter you people from the ride..but just take really good care before leaving.. It's gonna be a hot n hard ride..

    TC guys...!

    • so this ride is off is it?
four of us is out already.. spidey, satyen, anup & vikram!!
instead of make this ride just like another Hampi touch and back run, we will go some place else.. daman??goa??
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

            I like the attitude....

@Ketan R15: Leh and Kardungla etc the temperature fall below 3 degrees, wont you ride in the extreme...Northeastern states recieve very high rainfall and sometimes floods...wont you enjoy them...
Landslides may happen..what would you do crib????
Kerala the temperature was so hot that once my nose bleed, but it was a part of the ride hence took it as it is....

This is exactly the reason why I made it a point to write the following highlighted lines..

I had gone to meet a guy from MBC who's a vastly experienced rider and a part of record attempt GQ run done recenetly. Here are a few updates that I got from him... THESE ARE JUST SUGGESTIONS THAT I GOT FROM HIM AND NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM MY POCKET..SO PLZ DONT START DEBATING ON THIS POST.. Climate is quite hot and fire starts very soon these days..

                1) I guess Cos or someone mentioned the distance from Mumbai to Mt. abu is around 750kms. Well that guy was confident that the distance is way over 800kms and very close to 900kms. So it's gonna b a long long journey.

                2) The climate there is absolutely killing.. So be very very careful..

                3) Patch between Surat and Vadodara(or some other place) I guess is not complete. It's in very bad condition. Some one here mentioned that patch is just 20-30kms. Where as, as per his knowledge it's between 100-120kms. A back breaking ride.

                4) There's a small diversion to take for NH8 where the construction is going on which is very easy to miss. So be careful with that. Otherwise you'll end up going on the expressway.

                5) One day or even one and a half day is not enough to explore Mt. Abu and surroundings. So try to stretch ur schedule a bit(which i know is not very likely) and stay there for atleast 2-2.5 days.

Just a piece of advice guys..
Ride Safe! Enjoy ur ride! Keep urself cool...!
                Ciao..!

                Regards,
                KeViN...
I dont have to crib for anything as m not going for this ride anyway..
I have taken my bike and body to it's limits as well so it's not a new chapter for me..
                Peace from my side.. !!!!!

Though keep up the spirit Cos.. Congo..!
