Ok jst a bit of disappointing news. I will not be able to take a leave or leave early from work on 30th. So we need to start on 1st, yaaa it will be a bit hectic.
Itz 750KM distance that we need to cover in all, itz a minimum of 14 hrs of riddin. Will not get into the avg speed thing as itz an very impractical way to come up wid an estimate. Didnt want to plan the ride but if we want to enjoy mnt abu have to do this.
Considering every 100kms take 2 we would take atleast 14 hrs to reach. That means is we leave at 3.30am we would reach by 5.30pm, without breaks. From my previous experiences ive realised that breaks are a big variable, so under an assumption that we would atleast take 3.30hrs break it would take us around 18hrs to reach mt abu.
Instead of riding in a group of 10 we would need to break down it into a smaller group. On the hampi ride for the last 200kms we were ridin solo & not at all in a formation of ny sort. The distance we covered was significantly more. So we implement the same thing in this ride, but instead of solo we would have groups of two.
These two bike will always be together. We would have check points enroute where we would regroup. These two two ppl can stop nywhwre they want & nytime for some break. There would be a lead group but no sweeper. If nyone need to stop for a bit longer time he would msg his position to the leader. By doin this we would be able to move a bit fast & reach mount abu aroung 9pm.
We would mandatorily regroup every 50kms for a water break. Itz goin to be hot & the only way to fight the heat & keep ridin is water a lots of.Once the sun sets we would ride in a group.
Lets look at a rough timeline.
04.00 am: We start from fountain hotel.
06.30 am: Gujrat Border, itz around 120kms.
07.30 am: Valsad, around 35km. Have breakfast or some foood.
09.00 am: Navsari, 50km.
11.30 am: Ankleshwar phata 80km. We take detour through Bharuj from here.
01.45 pm: Vadodra 91km. Have food, itz a town & we could find somethin to eat.
04.00 pm: Narol, Ahemadabad (Outer ring road) 120km.
The rest of the route requires a bit more time will post it tomm.
(mmmm I guess we need to follow this but u never knw. Plz dont kill me)------------

Cos you can atleast start by 10 PM or say before midnight, you can make it dude.
+ I wont suggest reaching Mt.Abu after sunset, as therez a 30 Km. GHAT stretch, n what i'v heard of it, it wont be a good idea to ride that in DARK, curves are pretty tricky(as told by a friend) n even unknown to us. Re-Think about this... 9 PM thing. We should atleast reach there by 5-6 PM...

I think we should reach latest by 7ish
Oh and by the way when I said riding in two groups... I meant doing that to raise the average speed... The gap between first group and the second should be like 45 Minutes to One hour.... and am sure the rest would be able to catch up too... and even if not then people who have the strength can make do with a small break and move on and lead others... the rest can rest there and leave with the others of the fast group!
This way we can kinda bump up the speed atleast by a good 10 odd KMPH...
And since we are having a trend of posting bad news... heres mine!
My mom 'gifted' away my Tank Bag!!!!

mmmmm...havent gone thru all the 99 posts, BUT, have you guys thought about taking the shorter route : From Vadodra, leaving NH8 and bypassing AHM going through Godhra, joining back at NH8 near Himatnagar? This way, you end up saving more than 55-60km i guess. All new Royal Enfield 'Tripping' ads here -->www.bhp-india.blogspot.com
