@Cos: We'll leave at 9 PM from Fountain Hotel on 30th... n that wont make us reach Ahmdabad in 3 hrs.
We'll try to reach Ahmdabad by 8-9 AM on 1st... So we can again continue riding to Rajasthan atleast, will find a good place onroute n will halt there. Just like we did on Kutch tour, but we must not be more than 100 kms. frpm Mt.Abu when we halt for night...

Nops, we reached that stretch around 9 or 10 AM as we left at 2 AM in the night, but dnt worry i kno the roads very well, n they are in superb condition...

Spidey bro--sorry about this ride just can't bear the heat ,well experienced with Udaipur's heat,already made some plans for another trip.
will be going Mt abu during Nov that's the season to enjoy.

you guys are really hardcore bad asses all the best for the trip. take good snaps. Hosake tho Pre booking karlo for Mt abu, finding a decent place to stay is really pain over there. firstly they are limited and most are occupied by Foreigners, you will find them everywhere.

Very few visitors this time round the year (assumption), recession and then the heat, i am sure Mt. Abu attracts a lot of tourist.

Spidy, tell me what will you do if you find foreign tourist...be their guide showing Mt. Abu...

Bad asses...not at all unless you are reffering to spidy who had it burned on the expressway less than a year back...

Cos i guess riding in the night is quite tiring and will take longer to cover the distance to Ahmedabad...
Suggestion, April 30 : Leave early evening by 6 to reach ahmedabad by 3 am..check into the same hotel that we were at (Rann) and then

May 01: morning by 10 am proceed to Mt. Abu..reach by afternoon 3 pm.check into hotel...refresh evening 5 pm roam about to see the place and sunset...once all is done headback and party...
May 02: next morning chill out and roam about...
By afternoon leave for ahm'd say by 3 pm to reach at 10 pm...relax...
May 03: Simple road back...

Anyway it all depends on the time that you all decide to leave....
Remember the more number of people will take longer hence plan accordingly and give an estimate time lag of 3 hrs here and there..which means if Mum- Ahm'd is 8 hr ride consider it to be 11 hrs instead...avg speed of 45 -50 kmph

the mumbai-ahdbd ride for the event...we were covering a decent 110 odd kms within 2.5-3hrs....but the vapi-surat stretch will be infested by trucks/trailers...it peakd out at around 11pm odd.do keep that in mind as well.
it also depends how well u lead....coz if the lead is doin 90-95 the guy behind will do 85-90 and so on as we go behind the queue.

and mt abu is supposed to be a hill stn right??? so cooler than here???!

Your plans good, but the only headache purely for me is that I will be riding after a days messy work... (and a mini tour ) so... will have to rush home get the stuff and start off again!

May be I can meet you at Vaaliv Phatak or the Toll Naka some time later around 7.15 ~ 7.30 ... that might help me catch a quick nap!

I think we oughta split in two groups
The usual slow riders go in first... (they will leave by 6)
The rippers and the late comers leave in the second lot....

Anyways riding in a group of 5 plus for such a long trip will slow us down...

^^ Satyen: Group ride is a group ride...doesnt mean that it should be split in groups....by the way u need not come to fountain..be at manor at a decided time..simpler for you....right..and i agree a mini tour daily ..hats off to you man...
