    • NIce Ride!!

No summary of the ride till Now??

      Nice pics there Shailendra.

      @Aryan da: Read the rules.

Well It was a good and an eventful ride I would say.
People rode together well. On the way back the heat was immense but still riders kept their composure.

Kunajal and Abhishek: Hats of to your spirits man. These people waited the whole night for us to reach there so that they can come back with us.

Rohit Mundhra is doing a good job in handling the ordering of food and taking care of the bills responsibilities. Thanks Buddy. You sure are showing you ECO Skills.

Everybody rode well. It was real pleasure to ride with you guys.

Somebody please write a descriptive summary.

Waiting for the pics from Addy's cam

      • I started the thread for Karnal G2G and frankly speaking, I'm not at all proud of this one.

A short ride along with some chit chat session just turned into a different sought of thing.
Group formation was there upto a certain point and after coming at panipat flyover, everyone accelerated and forgot the group riding and all just dispersed within seconds. I wont say that riding at 80-90kmph is rash but you have to drive in a proper lane without any risk involved.

Reaching Jhilmil everyone relaxed for sometime...all had something to eat and after sometime get to know that some kind of stunts going on..
I mean we just came a long way from delhi just to perform the stunts or to have a good riding along with a pleasant chit chat session.
I'm not at all against stunts but what scares me the most is the Haryana Police. Due to one person's mistake the whole group is blamed and can face some serious issues.

Although everyone had all kinds of vehicle papers but one Apache(Yellow) did not had a number plate at rear which I noticed later.

2 new guys who joined in from Panipat were most welcomed but I had no idea that they are joining us to drive like crazy and to perform stunts. Just a single mistake on national highway can make all other bikers cost at the expense of others.

The return trip was very much appropriate with a single formation ride. I liked it.
But this time I dint feel that excited as I'm always with xBhpians.
I also want to convey that some really rode good too.

P.S: xBhp rides are just not a ride on bike, its about cooperation, concentration, tolerance, patience, road sense, traffic sense, respecting the other vehicles. respecting all in a group, etc. Its a subject that we have to go through it again and again.

@ALL: I still have some balance left with me that I shall contribute during the dhaba session.

Mistake was from my side as I tried to overtake from left and realized there was a truck standing there. Brakes were applied but rear Tyre skidded. So crashed into the truck. Bike got a severe beating as there were a few components damaged, but only body parts nothing major.

I did had some bruises which were minor until I realized that pain was not subsiding. Now I am better in morning and getting ready for office. It happened at Panipat Highway. I drove till Karnal with the group and came a little early as I needed to give my bike to the mechanic.

Apologies to the guys who were concerned about the incident, and will try to be more careful in future.

          • Rules have been updated here.
            • All miscreants in the offline G2Gs reported by other xBhp members to us will be taken seriously and probably banned from xBhp online and offline if we proven to be dangerous for the overall safety and image of the group. No abetting of stunts, fast and rash riding will be tolerated.

What do you mean "everyone accelerated"? You mean Shivanshu, Rohitmundra accelerated and dispersed? It must have come from somewhere. This looks again like another G2G that no one wants to talk about. Or everybody is scared shitless! It has been 24 hours and nobody has written a word about anything.

Again you mean to say that you did not know that people were leaving to practice stunts. What did you know then? Who were the people who left to "perform" stunts. OR let us put it this way... who were the people who had this great idea?

Or are you scared to open your mouth?

Hey handsome, you are a good looking guy. And you have all your limbs intact so far. Just a "minor" bruises as you would say and some of your friends say that too. And the way you put it here, it seems that it was just another small petty "minor" incident, just a "small" accident. I am glad you do not have a broken limb.

What I would like to know, if you were riding in formation, riding in a group, taking care of yourself, your bike, taking care of the riders in front of you, the people behind you, from where did the necessity arise of overtaking and then slamming on the brakes so hard that you skidded?

Do you always ride that fast in a group that you cannot see what is in front and you cannot stop and you have to slam your brakes and you skid? In that case I think that you are a difficult element in group riding and unfit for long rides in a group.

                • Xbhp turns 6 and we are turning MULE!!!

We all make mistakes. A sensible person would learn from his mistakes and also from the mistakes of others, but He who doesn't-- I dont have a word in my dictionary for Him.
aren't the G2G and group rides meant to enjoy? I mean I have been coming to the Dhaba G2G quite often and I enjoy chit chatting, discussing, playing pranks, ogling at Beauties, but I think I understand that what ever Bad I am doing, is going to bring Disgrace to the whole community.
Bikers all over the world are not looked upon as decent breed, xbhp on the contrary has created a niche for self by promoting Safe and sensible riding. and I would like to congratulate everyone...Sunny and the Mods for being Strict on this.
fairly remember the Meet at Old Fox's Den where we were learning a few basic riding skills. and when I was about to try to make a Figure of "8", I was promptly asked to wear a Helmet. Now this was despite the fact that speed of the ride was close to 3-5 kmph, it was not a public road, I had almost 20 people to take care of me in case if I fell, but Rules and safely have no escape route. and I appreciate it.
when I say I am xbhpian, am saying...am a Sane Rider! and that's the entire story.

sorry mates, but I would prefer to quit xBhp, than to be known as a "BIKER of a NOTORIOUS BIKING GROUP". your talent is much appreciated, but rule me out, everything has a time and place.
Amitabh Bachhan in Antarctica would be as misfit as Stunts /drags on public road.
I might have been rude and rough but that's what I am!

I had this gut feeling that Ken as a Mod would not allow any mischief and insensibility. Good that he conveys what he wants to, in one of the most polished and refined manner. and I would like him to be that way. Joke and Humor is allowed, but being STUPID is something that none of us can stand!!

                  Peace!!!
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Or are you scared to open your mouth?
Let's get it straight !! Me & Kunjal came from Rohtang so weren't with the group while coming from Delhi.
I planned my trip in a way that I can attend my last G2G of this year. We both stayed at a dhaba & slept on uncomfortable Charpai (in night) just to see all my friends in morning.

Kunjal went ahead to meet all at Panipat toll plaza & I stayed at jhilmil dhaba. LP was the first to arrive on R15 giving enough gap to second rider. The nuances of group riding were broken in my eyes when I found him coming alone. I came to know Shailendra has met an accident near Panipat but he has sufferd only minor bruises. THANK GOD !! P150 UGiv took great beating though.

Everyone arrived within next 30 min. Usual eating & chit chat session followed. I still wonder why it is a Delhi-Chandigrah G2G as none of xBhpian joined from CHD.
It was 9:30 am and I was tired like hell wanting to leave asap. News came that some stunts are being performed & snaps being taken near Karna Lake Lane; exactly opposite to Jhilmil. For me, G2G is just a gathering where we can talk about bikes or anything.... informal discussions about rides, etc.
This was a different scene !! I'm not known to riders but one was Pulsar 150, other FZ16 & one yellow RTR160.... with Panipat registration. Stunting at its best & I started feeling uncomfortable.
I respect stunters and their art but only when it's performed at an isolated place with full measures for safety taken. Public places draw unwanted attention & mostly result in trouble.

I wanted to leave but stopped for group photo. Things weren't quite to my liking and so I decided to leave. Rohit Mundra realised it's not going the right way. I met some people again at a petrol pump who were waiting for rest of lot to arrive. Fatigue & heat was taking a toll on me.... to put better I wasn't happy and so left.

All in all, meeting all was good but I didn't like the stunting part. I fear being in trouble for such reasons.... as acts like these draw attention at a real fast pace.
According to me, this wasn't a G2G most of us would have wanted. I could have pushed myself after dinner & reached Delhi by 2am giving a miss to meeting. I stayed & regret staying at dhaba all night just to see all this. It had every possible element inviting trouble & rules of group riding... they was shattered.

I'd urge all to please be careful going forward and ride within limits. In a group staying together is more important than speeding or overtaking. The faster we learn it, the better it is for all !!

This was my last G2G this year. Till now I've enjoyed every meeting & learnt a lot. I'm shifting to Lucknow for next six months and see you all in January. Online posts will continue.

@Shailendra - Be careful brother. You are lucky to have escaped unhurt.

@LP - You are much better a rider than me but in group ride in limits. Speed is not the ultimate nirvana of biking.... be composite & follow the leader in all cases.

@Rohit - Hard luck mate.... things didn't go the way we would have wanted and it was purely due to absence of seniors. You were good & I applaud your effort for taking this initiative.

@Aryan - Bhai, you have done the needful.

@ALL - Be careful going forward to avoid such accidents, stunts & other stuffs to present Delhi G2G in much better perspective.

                      • Folks, I coudnt turn up at the meet IN karnal, due to a sudden ride to chail that came up on Sunday.

Observing the turn of events, I would advise all of you not to blindly ride with anyone and every one, unless you are sure of and comfortable with their riding habits. Its good that you are having 'long distance' G2G's, but then again your safety and your fun shouldnt be compromised. One miscreant can leave a bad taste in the mouth. So just be careful in selecting your ride partners while going in for a long ride, thats all

Anyhow, putting aside the "dirty linen", I am sure there are lots of pics you guys would like to share, and we would love to see!

What else can you expect from one of the most irresponsible and members of xBhp. Coming nearly 3/4 of an hour ahead of everyone in a group ride making an ass of himself!

He is incapable of doing this. He is too full of himself and thinks he is the best rider this side of Valencia and seems hellbent on proving it. Problem is I am not interested in looking at his proofs!

Ken da, I admitted my mistake, and I know I wud have restrained. Yes, it was a rush of blood and I will try not to get this repeated, but if this incident qualifies me to be the lone throw rug and hit bag then I guess, I can take that too in spirit and offer my resignation from the group.

As far as the lessons of driving goes, everyone is evolving and at times elements are not your side. It was an incident that I myself would look with regret.
