Valparai -- Athirampally is a very dangerous route with 90 kms complete forest strech with bad roads.

Even the roads are bad the place is awesome.... But Valparai now considered as a danger zone because of animals....
Lets finalize the list as VJ told and start the polling

Chill Guys! Those roads are very busy roads with moderate traffic. Its perfectly safe. And the road is bad only for the first 10 kms.
Later all the way till Athirampally It is mindblowing! And as i suggested can we please keep these places out of the upcoming trip plan because you can even do this in a single day

Valparai-Athirapally used to be dangerous, now its no more. Also the forest stretch is only about 50-60kms(malakkappara- Vazhachal).

Later all the way till Athirampally It is mindblowing! And as i suggested can we please keep these places out of the upcoming trip plan because you can even do this in a single day

Wont it be too hectic for a days trip? I guess you are refering to Cbe-valparai-athirampally-chalakudy-palghat-cbe right?How many kms are e we looking at?

Guess its not as bad as its made to be.There are bus services in that route and if we plan to cover that stretch in broad daylight,i guess we should be fine

Ji I am telling to avoid this destination because it would be like a small breakfast ride for us . Off topic- the distance is around 110(valparai)+70(athirampally). max it would be around 200kms one way. For me its pretty ok to do it in one day.

Ji why not a 1 day trip to the above or any other destination or as i mentioned earlier...a night ride before the do the big one?

Ji I am a very shleepy phellow So i mostly avoid night ride. Sorry cant give you company in this.

Sorry guys was busy in travel and works, so out of little action here. We will plan a 2 day ride in jan. Pls suggest your options for place and dates. Will try to have a city meet probably this / next week end.

Actually the discussion was about the 2 or 3 day trip in Jan. So lets first decide that and we'll move on to one day trip. One day trips are mostly unplanned, so we can do it any weekend.

I rode through this route during 2009. Things might have changed a lot now.

As Dpak mentioned we can have that Valparai Athirampally for one day ride probable we can do it on weekends .... For the 3 day trip we can round off some other places .....

For me nothing comes to picture.... Sampath, Dpak, Karthi, Ram, Suru, Vj and Gopi list out some places we can decide out of it.. Whatever the place I am in...

Saw you a couple of days back in a grey uniform I guess waiting to cross the road in a HH Splendor leading your house, without a "Lid". The next time I see you like this, You shall be thrashed....

Yeah left the garage at 2.30 AM. Bike is smoother now. Chain-Sprocket has to be changed and tappets has to be adjusted. Will do them during next oil change.
The next day went to Salem and came back (300 km) thru NH 47 for engine break-in process. Maintained (still!) below 4500 rpm with variable engine speeds and breaks.

Planning to finish another 600 km by this month end.
