140/60-17 - 60 MPH
140/70-17 - 57 MPH
130/70-17 - 59 MPH

i was telling about the third one... 130 section... so from this it's good to stick to our stock one itself rite??? i thought 130 will give more top end...
what's your opinion for changing the tires... i have finished 22000kms... and the tire is almost gone... need to change in a couple of kms... which one do you prefer?

I removed the HID, coz its too bright to be used in the stock reflector, and also due to cops.... got stopped twice . Plus, it was like a flood light for atleast 100m... its good for highways... but most of the time I'll be riding inside city... we need to show some respect to others too na...

BTW... that HID is up for sale... let me know if anyone wants it

Pirelli 140/70 R17 is 3200rs ,its got a higher profile than FZ's stock,you will have a speedo error/


300v is expensive than 7100.MOTUL claims 300V to be superior than 7100 and better clutch protection

i am planning to go for pirelli 130 section tyre... what say Ranjith... think will get a lil more top end... and both 130 and 140 section tyres are like 140/70

i suggest its better to stick to the stock!!my opinion
and yes the 300V is available in Cochin its for 800/- or more donno the exact amount!!

how much for the HID??whats the specs?

I bought it for 2k from AQ, used for a month. Specs - 35W, xenon discharge + halogen filament. Its not bluish, so I guess it 43k. I do not have the packing etc. check out my picasaweb album (lijo.net) for pics.

i was in the verge of getting the Pirelli 140's but then realized its better to stick to the stock,higher profile mean a slight dec. in mileage too i guess...FZ already has an over sized Tyre for it.stupid YAMAHA had to make this weird non-standard size !
ill only be changing the front to pirellis since its the same size!

Ya you are rite... a 130 tyre is more than enough for FZ... with a lil small tyre would have got more mileage and also some pickup too... anyways going for the stock tyre itself for rear... front tyre may last for 30-35K smoothly... then i can go for Pirelli(front)...

Route :

1). Cochin-Wayanad-Ooty-Muthumala-Perinthalmanna-Cochin
2). Cochin-Munnar-Marayoor-Kanthaloor-Valparai-Athirapally-Cochin

i think 2 is a good idea. ... Marayoor is a forest like place.... Bin there once by car ... couldnt go into the forrest only access is by foot or in our case bikes .....
