Make sure riders have their first aid kit in the bike along with the papers, just in case.
Again those who are willing to join us please go through all the posts to know the meeting spots and if in case of any query just feel free to ask.
"Shutterbugs" feel comfortable to bring your lenses,we might get some beautiful captures.
Its just one day, hope to get good number of riders before the ride.
@Shivi bhai : Thanks for the maps

Just checked out the thread...Thanks for putting our thoughts and ideas as an itinerary for a small 200kms trip.
Few pointers:
-- Try to be on time(punctual) because as a group ride the overall average speed would be less, so lets not make it time consuming and tiring.
-- Do wear a jacket...not necessarily a riding jacket but make sure its thick and a track lower inside your denims....Both are recommended to avoid chill on highway and to keep you on a safer side in case of a mishap.
--Get the originals as indicated by others...No photocopies/attested photocopies.
--Maintain a proper gap among the riders and try to understand the rider in front of you(The leading one)..his ways of giving directions. Also, try to maintain your riding position which is given to you since the beginning and cooperate with others as well.
--Anyone coming for the first time (in xbhp) should avoid this trip. Come to a dhaba G2G, introduce yourself and let us get to know you better (NO OFFENSE, just a suggestion) many other trip would be planned out in future too.
--Make sure to keep the "headlights ON" as it helps the rider to see the others riders in his rear view mirror clearly. Slow down if other riders are left behind due to a traffic light, etc
--I suggest a single formation would be good as it helps other vehicles to pass easily.
-- Speed of 70-80kmph would be maintained on the open highway, other wise 50-60kmph(city roads..other than delhi as well).
--One important point to share: Keep your eyes open at every crossing that will be there on highway as well as on the rider in front of you.(You may observe some cycle walas, tractors, animals crossing NH24 without noticing the traffic)
--Lastly, fuel and tyre pressure should done before Sunday itself. Let's not waste time by stopping at petrol bunk.Last edited by rohitmundra; 02-02-2010, 12:41 AM.its all about CC...

I have coordinated with mostwanted and scilent killer. We will meet you guys on NH24 at the red light just after Ghazipur Flyover (T-Point from Vaishali) as we would be coming from Sahibabad.Originally posted by Shivanshu View PostScilent Killer: would really appreciate if you can come to Meeting Point2 if you are in this ride, rather than selecting your own meeting point. cheers

I just checked the link and WOW........what Crap!
Sorry mate but lets not forget that you pasted a link from an American Site and the biggest difference apart from the Engine capacity of their bikes with ours is the LANE.
Ok, few of the hand signs are valid universally but a lot of them dont make no sense and they are risky too.
- The first and the basic rule of any ride is knowing your limits. Dont try to over perform. Its better to be left behind then to have an IV in the nearby hospital.
- Secondly, choose your co-riders wisely before hand and do not crib later on.
- Thirdly, remember, the group is as fast as the slowest rider of the lot. Don't try to bully someone who is new to all this. You may be a Rossi in the by lanes but definitely don't provoke anyone who is not and who does not intend it otherwise. We had few not-so-pleasant incidents in the past and let's learn from our mistakes.
- also, try to avoid unnecessary attention from the public. A group of decently dressed bikers is like a dart board for a lot of people who have more Sh!t in their head then they defecated that very morning. People in cars and similar vehicle tend to throw or mull you down anytime when they feel offended. Also, you will encounter few young enthusiasts who would try to race with you to say- Dude, I can ride Faster, more stylish and I have a better accidental policy then yours. Avoid them.
- Its always better to come back home with a shattered ego then with a shattered bike, broken tooth, black eye and bleeding nose. Be utmost polite when riding to foreign lands, not everyone out there is a friend. Keep this line in mind- road k rahee, Bhai Bhai!!
Ok, I just dont want to spoil all the fun, learn and teach while you are on the move. ride safe and come back with good memories.
aaaal eez well.
dcsIts not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!
