btw.. new to riding... all a you would need is yourself, the bike and the spirit to ride...
since this a short one.. on a wide 4 lane highway.. would be good one to start off with....

@All: The weekend ride location has been changed to Pillalamarri, near MahbubNagar. Here is some info about the place:

The most interesting place to see in Mahabubnagar is the famous banyan tree called Pillalamarri which is about 4 kms from the town. There is a tomb of a Muslim saint under the tree. From a distance the tree presents the appearance of a small hillock with green foliage but on reaching closer it looks like a large green umbrella under which at least a 1000 people can easily take shelter.

It is a 700 years old banyan tree and its branches extend over an area of 3 acres. In Telugu "pillalu" means children & "marri" means a banyan tree. Hence Pillalamarri means banyan tree with children.
There is also an aquarium, small zoo and an archeological museum to visit. There is boating facility in the 7premises of Pillalamarri available only during the rainy season.

Ride date confirmed as Saturday, September 5th.
Confirmed riders:
1. Cheedhu on TBTS
2. Amarnath on Avenger 200
3. Chandru on P180 with pillion
4. Sarvajit on R15.

Distance: 116kms.from Hyd.

Last year we have visited this dam (kotepally) on July 27th. It was one of a memorable ride for those who made it. We remember everybody running in KP's r-15.

Well this was one of the BEST rides in my life.....enjoyed a lot!

Anna....shall we pen a thread for it in touring section?


Yeah i have this thought of clean bikes G2G ever since delhi guys had one last year.

All the participants needs to clean their bikes themselves and get it to the g2g and someone will judge the bikes based on the cleaniess of it!

Seems like a good idea....but let the rains stop




Had a nice time riding in almost waist deep water today near my home that too in opposite direction of the water flow!



P.s - Found bungee cords near my place. 35 bucks each! on the rocks sells it for 90bucks. We got them once for 20 bucks each

Has anyone been to Kotepalli (95kms. on Ananthagiri route) there is a reservoir&lake there
or Wargal (100kms.on Shamirpet route) there is a Saraswati temple&lake there.
Please give your inputs. I am planning to go there this weekend, since my friend had been to NagarjunaSagar on Saturday&says it doesn't have any water in it.

Have been to Kotepalli last year. Worth visiting. Satish took the R15 in sliding mud and was saying this bike is very bad - it swings to the sides, doesn't go in a straight line

when is the next G2G? can i Join you guys i will bring my Pulsar 150... I will be in Hyd by 17th Sep for 3weeks and like to enjoy with all...

he he... you guys are still in Honeymoon period. Well, here's the trick - encourage them to come on the ride. They will be glad to come but won't be able to make it for some reason. Mostly you will be able to come out. If they come with you, not a problem - enjoy a long ride with wifey... onece or twice and they will be bored of the rides or the sore butt would put them off... again, you ask them to come every time you want to go and you will be allowed to go without them maximum times

Sure, will definetely have a g2g when you are here. Who knows, a small ride to pocharam dam..would be great.

Very useful ones... tey are pretty simple, FOllow them strictly in one ride an dyou will get it right. Very useful stuff.

Finding them at many places now. Some China bazar's have got stock and surprisingly the Reliance Fresh at Madinaguda has a lot of them or Rs 30 each!!! picked up one but that hook made a hole to cooking oil packet and caused a leakage... angry wife left it there and didn't bill it!!!

Guys I need help asap.

Am looking out for a used Pulsar front end for my RX.i.e, forks+fork barrels+disk+caliper+hub . Cant afford a new one right now. If anyone knows any person who can help me get one asap or even some scrapyard dealer, let me know.
