Back from the 510 kms awesome rideOriginally posted by kiran_borra View PostAnd finally Srisailam roads will get more and more worse after some more rains (Already the roads are not in a great shape) So lets do it before more damage happens
Ride Details:
Meet Point: NH7 before taking the left diversion for Shamshabad Airport.
Meet Time: 5:00AM sharp!
EDIT: Hope it doesn't rain very heavily tomorrow
Weather forecast say 40% chances of downpour....
Only me and Shashi made it... Abhinav and his cousin were initially IN but they had to cancel their plan due to some emergency....
Sad part is couldn't make it to darshan as it was taking around 2 hrs in the queue and we wanted to return back before dawn!
We started off from airport at around 6am and exactly returned back to airport at 6pm

Did not click many pics but will post some of them and a mini log soon
Note: Roads to Srisailam are in awesome condition except for some small stretches...
@Harish: Good that nothing major happened to you

glad that nothing major happened to you and the other guy(things would have been way different if he was injured )Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostHey guys, I had quite an interesting day. Includes a small accident as well, all is well though
I have been pretty busy recently so dint get to ride my bike either. So wanted to ride on Sunday morning, but nothing was planned here earlier. Then decided to go for a short ride in the evening today, saturday, and asked Sandeep to join in, but he couldnt. Without wasting any time I decided to ride on the Srisailam road, coz of the beautiful landscape and good roads

On the way back I met with a small accident involving myself and another biker. This happened at some village, where the biker was crossing over from one side to the other and failed to react accordingly even after seeing me and repeated honking. I ended up crashing into the rear end of his bike. Luckily I did have some control over my bike even after the impact, so it dint crash hard and fast but just fell on the tarmac. Fortunately no injuries to either of us, but bike sustained some damage. The brake lever kinda bent into a curve, the rear brake lever got bent inward a bit and the handle bar just got misaligned, I have a split handlebar, so setting it back right wasnt difficult. No damage to the fairing.
People from the village soon gathered and demanded that I should be taken to the police station as I was riding fast and caused the crash. I had no issue with that. The cop there was pretty helpful. He had a chat with me, heard the story from the other biker and then asked us to do the settlement as per the damage and no complaint was lodged. I saw his bike and nothing major had happened. Just the saree guard was deformed. But as per the mechanic, one that was consulted, even the sprocket case and read wheel needed repair and said it would cost about Rs800. Which was bullshit. I dint have much cash so just gave Rs500.
After I started riding again I realised that the front wheel had bent as well. I showed the bike to a mechanic at a town and he said that the fork was bent, so 'Fork Throw' will fix the front wheel issue. Need to get this done. Met a friend for dinner and here I am
.Clocked 250kms for the ride.
The accident could have been even more devastating but then I live to ride another day
.....shit happens buddy!!..

He he with the same feeling missed the darshan last time and this is the second consecutive time
Well below is a brief photologue:
Finally my Ninja's first service was completed and I was looking for a big ride to test myself if I'm still fit enough to ride long distances
Initial plan was to ride on Saturday but as both Shashi and Ram were working night shifts, did not wanted to ride that long with no sleep for them so finally the plan was postponed to Sunday...
Ram had a function to attend and he couldn't make it. Abhinav was initially IN with his cousin on the brand new CBR but last minute they had to drop the plan due to a family g2g
So it was just me and Shashi !
We started off at 5am from Home. As I did not yet complete the bike's total run-in(1600kms) I was very much progressively accelerating the bike. The max I could reach was 10k rpm (And yeah I could feel the Monster with in was waking up
)
First stop was en route for breakfast followed by a stop at Dhindi reservoir.

See the Tree cave...
@Ravi this is the same place you showed us last time

Biking Yoga

Clicked with kit lens (100% crop)

Tanked up at Dindi and started off after spending some time...
The ghat section in the initial stages were a bit bad but after that they were pure Bliss to ride.

Well, we see this Wild Animal crossing zone everytime we visit Srisailam but the best we could see till date was Monkeys crossing the road (Anyways I suppose they would be wold too
) But this time it was an awesome experience...
We saw a big sambar deer crossing the road while going and while coming back it was a herd of spotted deers 8-10 crossing the road...
The feeling you get seeing the animals freely roaming in the wild is just amazing!

We took a 30 mins break in the mid pf forest where there was some shade and a place to relax. It was all silent with overcast and birds humming their tunes.... AWESOME!

The next break was after reaching srisailm at around 12pm. We tried to go for Darshan but had to drop the plan for next time as it was taking more than 2 hours
Started back home at around 1 pm. I was suffering with headache since we started in the morning due to insufficient sleep and we did not wanted to make it worse with the 16kms off-roading for Mallelatheertham waterfalls. So dropped the plan of going to the water falls and stopped again at the same place we stopped before
The great Nallamalai Forest

i, THE BIKER

You might have seen Cat walk before...
This is MONKEY walk

Started back after some 20 mins and this is the time when we started feeling damn hungry... Stopped by a small hotel after Dindi at around 4pm and had loads of chapatis with hot&spicy chicken curry (YUMMY)
With one more break while coming back finally reached airport by 6pm. By the time we reached home it was around 7:20 and we did a total of 510 kms
A pic of both the riders

Some fast facts I would like to share:
Mileage given: Ninja (26) and R15 (35)
Total Distance: 510kms
Total time on the road including breaks: 13 hours
We easily saw almost 200 members who were waving us saying that our bike's headlights were ON... we were confused why were they bothered as if they would need to pay the electricity bill for our bulbs! LOLZ :P
After some 10-15 members asking us what is the price of the bike and what is the mileage it gives and free suggestion of buying a car... finally an old man (around 50+) on a Ford Fiesta stopped by and asked us whether it was the ninja 250R or the 650R
And complimented the bike saying, "LOVELY" he stopped for around 5 mins watching the bike and then said good bye
PS: Everywhere we parked our bikes people wanted to know the price and we said 1 Lac and 3 Lacs.....If only Ram's CBR was along with us we thought that we'd have replied as 1Lac, 2Lac and 3Lacs respectively :P
