As I said, Cover srisailam for now.. I'll join you guys for the sagar and kuntala rides..Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostSeems like we are not going to get any answers.....
You come up with some idea Abhinav
I was having the following options:
1. Nagarjun Sagar - For the pure Nature and the beautiful waterfalls
2. Srisailam - For the riding pleasure on Ghats
3. Kuntala - For the high speed run
Any option is Ok coz in the coming next 3 weekends I am going to cover all these places

And any more options to the list is most welcome !
EDIT: Seeing Ravi Varma's pics I'm more inclined towards Srisailam
Nallamalai Forests: As close as it can get to nature
High speed runs for some stretches 8)
And GHATS
Me too. Can't make it tomorrow. Kuntala is on my mind from a very long time but just waiting for somw downpore so that the flow at the falls increases.Originally posted by harsha645 View Postgo to srisailam and sagar coming weekends i will try to join for kuntala

YES !Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostDont worry anna, We planned, we will plan and we will keep planning for our Araku ride
We'll atleast try to make it a reality after Riaz comes back from UK this time
Ram and Satish also said the same...Originally posted by harsha645 View Postgo to srisailam and sagar coming weekends i will try to join for kuntala

+100..
So kuntala will wait for 2 more weekends...
That place is worth a watch after as many rains as possible
Kuntala is in High demand and some of our members who aren't able to make it this time asked to post pone for next couple of weeksOriginally posted by therealabhinav View PostLooks like Srisailam has been fixed for the sunday ride!
Kiran will post the timings and details of the ride soon!
And N.Sagar would be at its full glory when the gates are opened which will happen after some more weeks
And finally Srisailam roads will get more and more worse after some more rains (Already the roads are not in a great shape) So lets do it before more damage happens
Ride Details:
Meet Point: NH7 before taking the left diversion for Shamshabad Airport.
Meet Time: 5:00AM sharp!
EDIT: Hope it doesn't rain very heavily tomorrow
Weather forecast say 40% chances of downpour....Last edited by kiran_borra; 07-16-2011, 11:31 PM.

Hey guys, I had quite an interesting day. Includes a small accident as well, all is well though
I have been pretty busy recently so dint get to ride my bike either. So wanted to ride on Sunday morning, but nothing was planned here earlier. Then decided to go for a short ride in the evening today, saturday, and asked Sandeep to join in, but he couldnt. Without wasting any time I decided to ride on the Srisailam road, coz of the beautiful landscape and good roads. Initially I was planning to ride just for some 100kms, to and fro.
After riding for a while I was thinking of turning back, but then after I hit 50km on Trip meter the road got even better and that urged me to go further. The thought of returning creeped in again at about 80kms but then I saw a milestone read 'Dindi 45kms' and just then I made my mind to go to the Dindi Dam, which Sandeep had suggested. Dint take long to reach the Dam.
It was very pleasant. Wind was playing background music with water tides adding to the beats every time it hit the shore. Birds danced to the tune of nature and the Sun was shinning down as if to light up the live performance. Sat there for a while and headed back.
On the way back I met with a small accident involving myself and another biker. This happened at some village, where the biker was crossing over from one side to the other and failed to react accordingly even after seeing me and repeated honking. I ended up crashing into the rear end of his bike. Luckily I did have some control over my bike even after the impact, so it dint crash hard and fast but just fell on the tarmac. Fortunately no injuries to either of us, but bike sustained some damage. The brake lever kinda bent into a curve, the rear brake lever got bent inward a bit and the handle bar just got misaligned, I have a split handlebar, so setting it back right wasnt difficult. No damage to the fairing.
People from the village soon gathered and demanded that I should be taken to the police station as I was riding fast and caused the crash. I had no issue with that. The cop there was pretty helpful. He had a chat with me, heard the story from the other biker and then asked us to do the settlement as per the damage and no complaint was lodged. I saw his bike and nothing major had happened. Just the saree guard was deformed. But as per the mechanic, one that was consulted, even the sprocket case and read wheel needed repair and said it would cost about Rs800. Which was bullshit. I dint have much cash so just gave Rs500.
After I started riding again I realised that the front wheel had bent as well. I showed the bike to a mechanic at a town and he said that the fork was bent, so 'Fork Throw' will fix the front wheel issue. Need to get this done. Met a friend for dinner and here I am
.Clocked 250kms for the ride.
The accident could have been even more devastating but then I live to ride another day
