I need to search for a clear visor aswell (ls2 phobia). 31st, 2nd and 5th are working days. So cookup some stories. tell them medical camp in vizag :P

Try a medical camp story in nearby villages....

in case you find a clear visor(next to impossible in hyd)do pick up one for me

no no for med camp(dad is in the same feild )..will try to get permission so that it will be my first offical long ride

Would be great if we can post the itinerary and the places of stay!
Try to source a 5 capacity Tent if possible

In all probability Shashi will be joining you guys on his R15. Coming to me, i have already applied for a leave but whether I could make it to the trip I can
confirm only by the 2nd week of Aug

Btw, 5 days calls for a bigger trip and more high Altitude ... Why not Bangalore-->Mysore-->Ooty
Araku stays in its best even in the month of November

btw this tirupathi ride can wait till maybe december (we both can go for darshan and stay at my babai's place), besides we are looking for a group ride wherein everyone can enjoy the location, ride and company! so as far as i know, we have 2 options left

1. Rakesh suggested Araku ride (onward journey through small but lovely roads and the return journey via the major highways)...for more details look through Ravi annas recent araku trip!

2. Kiran suggested bangalore-mysore-ooty which IMO is a better option considering ooty-mysore are better tourist locations and definitely more beautiful! roads are also much better and the journeys wont be as exhaustive as the araku. my only concern is the weather, i have no idea how the weather is around bangalore/ooty during end of august??

Araku is tried and tested recently by our very own Explorer so we have his expert guidance to make the trip like a cake walk
This place doesn't need any more intro though

^^ i have been through this route and returned o hyderabad via coimbatore few years back..the roads between ooty and mysore are pleasure to ride and ya peacocks,deers,wild pigs(donno if its the correct word )and if IIRC horn is banned in that particular strech and its veerappans adda.
..but i doubt the weather.....what say anna??

p.s: toured karnataka thrice before and i dont mind visiting it again(love that place).
