@Abhinav: The pics I posted are clicked on 9Sep2009. At that time it was raining only once in a while that too for short bursts
Very True!Originally posted by thefastestindian View Postit'll be drizzling most of the time during this season and trust me, everyone loves that weather. Some times It may rain but only for some time.
My long awaited dream is to ride in the clouds

You guys are making me feel jealous.
I do not suggest ooty plan just with 4 days. At least 5 days would justify the trip. Otherwise you just endup riding the places and most of the time you would be on the bike. If you spend sometime in those places, you guys end up with night riding, late wakeups, and it will have a ripple affect. A rain in the night makes things worse. And if the group is bigger, chances are that somebody miss the group at night.
And one thing, if you want ride, just ride, plan for the worst. This is season for rains, so just get prepared for riding in rains. Those who do not want to ride in rains, just skip and plan in November or December.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Araku is in full bloom in December / January. But my suggestion is Ooty is too much of a tourist place. Araku is not that much populated also.Originally posted by therealabhinav View Posthow is the weather in araku and mysore/ooty during end of august/start of september?
can the fellow members advice??
Well said. Also, my advice? Plan for some short and nice rides now (Kurnool / Warangal / Nizamsagar / Singur) and a big one in November (since the rains will be long gone by then). Lets explore the unexplored routes rather than tried and tested destinationsOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostYou guys are making me feel jealous.

With five days in hand, either ooty/araku will be ok...but i feel that 5days is bit more for araku,
bang-mys-ooty need five days may be even more to explore it to the maximum...say if we start from hyd in the morning we can reach mysore by evening covering srirangapatnam on the way, stay for night@mysore,next day mysore palace, chamundi hills&few more places..again stay at mysore..starting for ooty next day early in the morning (mysore-ooty is scenic)via bandipur on the way..stay at ooty for night ..again via dodbetta can reach coimbatore..if ppl are intrested few laps@kari race track(coimbatore)..back to hyd again...
Uff i am planning(dreaming) a lot coz of lot of free time available

i have never been to track till date...if we are doing ban-mys-ooty instead of araku,we can think/adjust track thing, coz from what i heard coimbatore track is not having strict rules(no compuslion for one peice leather suit unlike the chennai AFAIK)..so first if we decide whether its araku/ban.we can plan the things...so what say guys??..pour in your choice b/n araku/ban...Originally posted by thefastestindian View Post@harsha : Race track is a yes for me. This will be my first race track experience. Are we adding the race track thing to our itenary?
@rahul saxena: no idea about the james street(listening it for first time),may be you mistook us for someothers...btw where are planning to tour??R.I.P vinu s v,you will never be forgotten

5days for araku is adequate that is why I thought to go there.Originally posted by kiran_borra View PostRavi.... The plan is for 5 days only

Lets explore the unexplored routes rather than tried and tested destinations
The reason I planned for Araku for 5days is that we will have plenty of time to really enjoy the ride as well as the trip, if it is something less we will be riding most of the time as Ravi Anna suggested.Originally posted by thefastestindian View Post@harsha : Race track is a yes for me. The way I have thought it is..
Day1 Hyderabad to Badrachalam night stay there, start in early in hyd so that reach there by afternoon do the dsarshan or exploring the river (if interested) same day.
Day2 Badrachalam to Araku (via sileru & paderu) start by 5.30 ~ 6.00 so that really more time for stopping where ever we want, still reaching Araku before dark.
Day 3 Explore in and around araku for full day and stay there for the night walk the streets at night (I think this will be a awsome experience I always do this in tirumala)
Day 4 Head to Vizag and visit the beach then head to Anavaram and stay there for the night! (This is the place visit year after year in the monsoon I dont know why! I love this place!)
Day 5 On the NH7 till Vijayawada dont lookout for anyone unleash the horses! Then to Hyderabad.
Google Maps
This way it gives us a really really enough time and there wont be a question of being tired or missing a landscape that needs to be SHOT!
PS: Still this is a thought I have and I am still in for anything the majority says! All the wise men of the world are called wise only after they spoke their mind, so dont keep the ideas to yourselves!

This is almost exactly what we did two weeks back. 5days are ideal for doing this.Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View PostThe route I am suggesting is next thing from isolated I think this fits the criteria..

October would be excellent, rains would be gone and it will still be very very green. But I guess you guys will miss riding through the clouds in that season.Last edited by MG; 07-27-2011, 04:09 PM.

this one sounds good and sure that we can explore and relish everything to max and the ride will be very relaxing...but with 5days in hand we can cover up more by choosing ban-ooty... though we cant explore as much as in the araku trip...Originally posted by rakesh_zmr View Post5days for araku is adequate that is why I thought to go there.
