I somehow still dont trust the GPS. I got 114.7kmph acc to the GPS.

Ok I did some math and am getting crazy figures. I took the time as 16seconds and distance as 402.336meters. On calculating, I get the speed as 90.5kmph!! :| That means my bike is a sub 16sec bike? Not at all possible. Where did i screw up?

Considering 114.7kmph that I got on the GPS or lets push it down to 111.7kmph that Sam got, when converted is 31.0278 meters per second. So we have,
time = distance/speed=402.336/31.0278=12.966sec!!!

If we take my 114.7kmph speed, t=402.336/31.861=12.627sec!!

I terribly suck at maths! Either the track wasnt marked properly or the GPS is bogus or some mistake in my calculations or all the above

I cant believe am actually doing math at bloody 3 in the morning!!!

the speed you got which is 90.xx is the speed if you were ALREADY moving at that speed .. but you forgot to add acceleration time ,

there is no FORMULA to determine the TOP speed touched by anyone except a speed gun or GPS ..

I personally trust the gps .. when i was in my indica .. i activated the GPS .. i touched 140 on the speedo .. and when checked top speed was 139.7 ..i was in the ICU after seeing that

hey, i own a karizma as well and have been trying some mech out here, not satisfied. One of my bro's friend came from b'lore to participate in the Deccan Quarter mile drag. he is one of the best mech known in b'lore it seems. Knows a lot about the perf mods and other things. Let me know if you wanna meet up (he is busy for some time). If bike is something that means a lot to you, i know a couple of them in pune and they are the magicians. am planning to roll out der but becuase of teh swine flu, my parents are killin' me not to go der. so lets plan according and get things working.

phew...just got up at 5.30 in the morning cause i wasnt able to get any sleep,brushed,had coffe,took bath and went off to airport just for a ride....i rested at the road rails and was listening to music....when i suddenly thought why not check the time on my 220 from there to my home.i live at anand nagar colony ,kairathabad..my fz time was 30mins...so i ripped off and when i just reached home i kinda fainted cause i did it in frickin 15mins

I was at the airport too, dropped my parents and bro off as they were going to Srinagar, was heading back towards the srisailam highway. Reflectors at night make that road look akin to the one in Need for Speed, and I was doing around 120 on that empty road in our cage.

ya...i just love that road...minus the stupid small plasicky speed breakers....they change it whenever and where ever they want....

I think I exited the airport by 5:15 or so.. no chance we passed each other or something. Ya the plastic speed breakers are BAD, I mean if you don't pay attention and go on them at full speed, bodily injury either to you or the bike or both are assured!!!
But they DO provide warnings in the form of speed limits, like 20KM/hr or 40 KM/hr in big boards well in advance of these back breakers.

TNT and Satan, the airport road is for commution and not for high speed cruising. Speed brakers are apt and good on that road; they are not bad. If you want nice road without speedbrakers, go to Zadcharla highway.

Tejas, how many kms in 15 min you did?
