Good post there harsha, I am going to build the same kit for the first aid kit in my bike.Originally posted by harshaguduru View Post
Another thing to remember - have a regular check of the kit(at least once in 6 months) for the expiry dates.how would...all the contents including the bandages would be expired..Cheap and Reliable is not Fast, Cheap and Fast is not Reliable, Fast and Reliable is not Cheap!

LOL,...yes sir will change them ASAP mostly tomorrow!Originally posted by harshaguduru View Posthow would...all the contents including the bandages would be expired..a small bottle of savlon ,a couple of 3 or 4 inch gauze tapes, a small tube of betadine and some paracetmol tablets and 2 bandaids are all it take to make a kit..replace the stuff in your kit ASAP..these shouldnt set you back by more than a 100bucks.
in addition: you may add a few tablets of Isosorbide in case you have heart patients in the family, and an anti-acid like OMEZ-20mg..always helpful..when you need find a medical shop in the middle of the night..
Burnol is also a wonderful addition..

Heylo all!!!
Been a while I posted in the forum...
These days, I am busy checking a whole lot of bicycling forums
After I became uncle.. I am getting more interested in 0BHP bikes...
Well...
Coming to the point, I had been to Suryalanka Beach resort this weekend.
- This is 8kms away from Bapatla...
- A very good place...
- A not so violent beach
- All the cottages in the resort are beach facing
- Beach is just 20 steps away from the cottages
- Excellent Sea food
- Camp fire arranged by the resort
- And availability of drinks for the boozers

Distance from Hyderabad is 350kms.
Lot of straight line stretches where you can open up your bike...
We were 4 couples + Shashi(Ek Niranjan) and went in a Qualis.. roughly took 6hrs for one way travel....
It could be a very good destination for a one night stay ride...
Especially in this winter season
Will post the pics soon

Nice find and I am really keen on this one now. Did a bit of Googling and found these info :
Suryalanka Beach (about 75km from South of Guntur town and 9 km from Bapatla) is about 350 km from Secunderabad. It is located close to Bapatla in Guntur District.
Road Options :
Route1: Hyd-->Chitya-->Tipparti-->Miryalguda-->Narsaraopet-->Chilakaluripet-->Chirala-->Bapatla-->Suryalanka = 324 KM
Router2: Hyd-->Chityal-->Tipparti-->Miryalguda-->Narsaraopet-->Guntur-->Ponnur-->Bapatla-->suryalanka = 340Km
Route3: Hyd --> Vijayawada -->Guntur --> Bapatla -->Suryalanka =350K
Incase some one needs more info on the location/ resort accomodation etc.......9440082627/9581816676.
@kiran_borra
What are the fares like at the resort and can you give some contact details incase some one wishes to book/ reserve the rooms.

@kiran_borra: Did you stay at the APTDC Resort on the beach? I found that to be the most beautiful one, though facilities are not all that great.
We had combined this trip with a night at Bhavani Islands, then to Suryalanka Beach.
Try Bhavani Islands next time, its a really romantic place.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Done! Got the kit made for my bike. As soon as I parked my car at home in the evening after returning from office, I went straight into two medical shops and got the kit ready. Total damage to pocket - 140/- (bought extra gauze tape and bandages hence more than 100/- for the kit)Originally posted by kkrk2 View PostGood post there harsha, I am going to build the same kit for the first aid kit in my bike.
Another thing to remember - have a regular check of the kit(at least once in 6 months) for the expiry dates.
Break-up:
1 - 3cm gauze tape: 30/-
1 - 1cm gauze tape: 14/-
2 - 2 inch bandages: 6/-
3 - 6 inch bandages: 6/-
1 - soframaicyn: 32/-
1 - neosprine(??) powder - 38/-
1 - small savlon bottle - 13/-
1 - cotton roll - 26/-
why wait till next day??Originally posted by nikhpaul View PostLOL,...yes sir will change them ASAP mostly tomorrow!
