contact the insurance company over phone ... the insurance papers shud be with your RC papers. call them to your place and they will inspect the bike and let u know how much will be the reimbursement via insurance ... generally for metal parts it is 100% , fibre or plastic parts it is 50% and for glass none. let me know guys if I am wrong. I wud suggest that you take the bike to an authorised tvs service center ... they will arrange for the inspection by insurance company and you will get the estimate ... you have to pay for the repairs out of you pocket and the insurance company will send you the draft or cheque to your address later ... maybe a month or so.

i went today thankz to satish and sagar who helped me alot !
the total estimate was 2k .. but if i take insurence i have to pay 1k + leave my bike for more than a week .. so i decided not to go for insurance and recive my bike tomorrow .. i will be ready to ride i guess

yep as i told you ... u have to leave the bike for inspection and pay out of ur pocket initially and get reimbursement later... and claiming insurance also deflates the resale value of the bike ... ... so pay 2k if u can afford to shell it out at a go that is and peace of mind

Hey ravi ... i mean i know u r tavelling @17bhp ... just one question ... have subscribed to the sms service that u set up hyd xbhp tour updates ... how will i be informed about any events or tours that is being organised ... some body initiate a sms chain or am i missing something here !!!

How were roads...

Is that the usual way anyone takes to Vijaywada which i have heard is a bit dangerous?

Roads were good.....1st 30-40kms were 4 lane with divder......after that its completly a 2 lane road without any divider! No pot holes anywhere....though the roads were uneven at places.

Vijayawada highways is said to be one of the most dangerous highways in india.....i quiet did'nt understand y it was called so when we returned from the R15 championship coz nothing looked to be dangerous apart from the small road.

Kriss told me y it was dangerous, but i was not satisfeied with it.......but realised it today when i rode for the first time..........small road with a deadly combination of slow moving trucks and blazing car's, volvo's and bikes.......ppl lose patiance getting stuck behind these freakin lorries moving at snail's pace after riding at 100+ speeds and take risk to overtake on this small road leading to accidents

I lost pataince at times too today...! one needs lot of patiance on this road!

must have been real bad then..the reason we felt the road was good during the chennai trip was because we were the reason for traffic to hold up behind us...and after a while we stopped caring about the road and more about the driver..who was pretty drunk/sleepy by then..
