Gurus any useful tip or input for the ride. Do I need to carry any other docs. other than bike papers, PUC and insurance. Any help is appreciated
Use the Airport route-instead of turning left for Airport, go right.
There are no turns to take till you reach Bangalore.

I sneaked through ORR since I was alone&it was early morning.
Carry your papers&puncture repair kit etc. Keep the petrol filling slip with you to show in Bangalore in case you are caught.

    Tips:
    1. As you are approaching Gooty, you will find a big HP Ghar Dhaba on the right. Thanks to Thejus, I enjoyed this place. You get good fuel&also food here. Other places you might not find petrol in surrounding 50 kms.

    2. As Ravi said, DO NOT fall asleep while riding alone&have a good night's sleep before.

    3. Get your bike serviced before the ride, it will be doing high speeds continuously since the roads are too good.

    Relax, take care&enjoy the ride!

          • I've been on ORR on my bike about 50 times easy! during day and night, even in front of the cops (who didn't even bother to stop me). AFAIK two wheelers aren't allowed on the ORR but you guys talking about sneaking into the ORR has confused me. has anyone got caught or stopped by the police??

                  Once I was stopped.

But, he left me with a warning when I explained them how I have to go extra 10 kms if I do not take the ORR and said only to visit Chilukur temple I had come on this route. They left me with a warning.

There is no entry for two-wheelers, lorries, and three wheelers on ORR. You can sneak out early mornings without any cop issue.

                    • ^^^ i certainly hope not!

it defies logic! so people cant go to the airport on two wheelers through the ORR? even at the aiport, the bike park is easily over 1km from the escalators whereas thecar park is 100m! seriously someone needs to talk sense into the people who make these rules!

the same applies to the NH7 toll booths wherein they dont charge anything for 2 wheelers. they should charge two wheelers! we are being discriminated against?

unlucky! i go there every weekend on my bike and sometimes more than twice in a week! i have seen many lorries on the ORR too! i hope they don't ban two wheelers once the toll booths are set up!

Two wheelers are not allowed even after the toll booths. There are service roads on either side of the ORR for two wheelers.
