Roads were good.....1st 30-40kms were 4 lane with divder......after that its completly a 2 lane road without any divider! No pot holes anywhere....though the roads were uneven at places.

Vijayawada highways is said to be one of the most dangerous highways in india.....i quiet did'nt understand y it was called so when we returned from the R15 championship coz nothing looked to be dangerous apart from the small road.

Kriss told me y it was dangerous, but i was not satisfeied with it.......but realised it today when i rode for the first time..........small road with a deadly combination of slow moving trucks and blazing car's, volvo's and bikes.......ppl lose patiance getting stuck behind these freakin lorries moving at snail's pace after riding at 100+ speeds and take risk to overtake on this small road leading to accidents

I lost pataince at times too today...! one needs lot of patiance on this road!

When did you do this trip? How come you wanted to do a Sunday pleasure ride on NH9?? Glad that you know what is NH9 (vij-hyd). I also advice you to do this stretch at night; you would fully agree that hell is on the earth and not anywhere else.

must have been real bad then..the reason we felt the road was good during the chennai trip was because we were the reason for traffic to hold up behind us...and after a while we stopped caring about the road and more about the driver..who was pretty drunk/sleepy by then..

Pretty much bro.......got pissed off folowwing truckers for kms together at 35-45kmph after riding at 115

the bus driver was not drunk or sleepy.....thts his character

hehe.....this was not a trip anna.......i did it yesterday only......came out of the exam hall pretty quick...(did'nt write my exam well).....i was in no mood to head to my home so soon.....wanted to go for a short spin.....thought of places pretty close......fixed sangi temple! As soon as i neared sangi i thought why not ride for some distance into NH9....may be 20-30 kms......but soon i ended up riding all the way till narkatpally.........could have gone till VJA.....but i was short on cash and petrol

night ride on nh9? how abt a Saddlesore on the same highway at night?

There is one beside Venktesh yamaha in Somajiguda. Bike Terminal is the name i guess. He has Good Vega Collection.

was ur helmet also gone during that crash ... or u want to ad to ur collection ? there is a good helmet store on turning towards moshirabad i guess . knw the loaction physically may be wrong in sayin the name of the place.

At the moment my bike is waiting for some care from Yamaha... I am suspecting some stuff being not all right and hence don't want to take it out for a long ride without examination... Should have an update in a day or two.

hmmm ok will do .... i still just need a K& N airfilter ... will buy next month ... by old filter has gone bad after my trip to Leh last year ... did not get time to replace it .... one more suggestion ... do i need to upjet after the k&n is installed ... my modifier is saying not required and he will only slightly upjet ... do not want to turn the mixture too rich ... will cause me problems in elevations..

^^^ guess you'll have to do R&D on the jetting and settle for the one that is more suitable... there might not be some strong research on this but still posting this in the modifications thread might yeild a better answer

Hey KP ... I saw somewhere that two R15's in Hyderbad have bent alloy rims ... now ur saying that the bike is in yammy service center ... are u one of those two unlucky chaps ?
