@Darknight: Panvel side is a very regualar one for us yaar, thats why goin the other way this time... But i agree that options are better there... the Himalayan Punjab is a regular one fer us.

Dost..himalay punjab is 1 which panvelites don't usually go..dunno y though been there once or twice and its excellent.
there are much better options just b4 karnala i.e. sai krupa,ekvira & krantiveer.
try sometime.

@MG & Motor: Great thought! We can do ganpatipule, am lookin forward to this place for a long time. Its 372 kms. from mumbai on Mumbai-goa highway, an awesome road, you'll love it.
PLAN: We can leave on 7th night, reach in like 5-6 hrs. have some sleep of 3-4 hrs. n then some dhamaal-masti by the virgin beach... n start back by 5 or 6 PM... what say?

Sounds ok.But 372km means more riding and less or negligible time for dhamaal.If beach is what you guys are thinking then how about Harihareshwar.Less kms to ride and more time for fun and dhamal.Although personally I would prefer a place like Bhimasankar.

Don't include me in any knd of list.I can't give any assurance till the final moment.

Well I dont have any problem with that also. Never been to harihareshwar too, so that'd be good. Whats at Bhimasankar???

Well bhimashankar is located on top of a mountain. There's an ancient Shiva temple, surrounded by thick forest. Ideal/Dream destination for treckers..but that's just them. Bikers can ride all the way till top... I deal seasons to go there are monsoon(to enjoy b at one of the highest rainfall places in Maharashtra) and Winter(to enjoy thick fog and beautiful scenery). Famous for wild animals in Jungle.

As far as my knowledge goes, road condition is not that good. More or less like any other state highway with lots of brocken patches. I may be wrong because it's been quite long since I last went there.

For the ride u taliking about dive agar is best place...Ganpatipule no. coz lots of pilgrims out there and you suddenly don't feel to enjoy as we usually do coz of holy place & all
dive agar:complete virgin beach,cheap if you plan to stay and not a soul around for the entire strech.

Bhimashankar:been there every year for past 9 years in monsoon.excellent for trek from khandas-karjat.very gruelling 5-6 hr climb.
for biking roads ain't that great and again no place to sit,booze have tp or otherwise.One amongst 12 jyotirling ,so again a holy place.
