I dont think so that heat will cross 40*c. Though It'll be hot, I still would not like to waste this 4 days holiday period. n yeh a ride to GOA will be nothing less than MASTI, Roads are really good n itsa BLISSS to Ride there...

The Ride may most prolly will start by say 6-7 AM & you guys will be back by lets say 1 PM... thats the usual Amby Ride routine, so there will be hardly any changes.

I had been to this place long long back.. one of my friends called Ravindra Shirgaonkar is a localite there. It's his native place. Well from wht i recollect, the fort was totally in ruins and most of it was covered with bushes and trees. But still there are some scenic spots for photography. Beach isn't that gr8 either. But considering the short distance, it's a place worth a visit. Go for it..

I have been there but i guess it would be wise to do this destination during the rain, as there would be some greenary; all that you can find now would be wild grass and nothing else. The places for shade are also not much even on the highway and the place, all said and done "Desination is an excuse, ride is the purpose"... Have fun

You r absolutely correct.. That's wht i mentioned above.. The whole place is just covered with grass and trees. The season u mentioned is right but as he has already decided to visit the place, I asked him to go for it n enjoy.. Otherwise wud hav suggested him some other season..

So all set for the big ride huh? How's the progress on that front?

Thanks for the inputs Anup and Ketan. I am not that bent on this destination. If there is any other recommended location in that direction, I can give it a try. But I wanted to keep the distance around 100km.

It could have been Amby Valley but I am looking for something new and I haven't been towards the North of Mumbai.

Unfortunately even I haven't travelled that much towards the north of Mumbai That's y can't suggest u much in that direction..but others here can surely help u..

The only few places I've visited upwards are Malshej, Shirgaon, Bordi, Vapi, a few beaches near Vasai-virar etc..

Leave by max 4.30 am
Reach Lion's point in time for sunrise arnd 5.30 am and return back to base. Anyone planning to join pls confirm asap.
