Hey guys, any idea where this place is? I think I've seen this place in a movie some time. I got an email with this images and a small description which says..
"Built back in the 10th century, the incredible well of Chand Baori, India was a practical solution to the water problem in the area. The arid climate forced the locals to dig deep for a dependable water source, one that would last throughout an entire year. Chand Baori well is 30 meters deep, it has 13 floors and 3,500 steps. Legends say that ghosts build it in one night and that it has so many steps to make it impossible for someone tor etrieve a coin once it's been dropped in the well."
Would love to visit this place...Ketan Nikharge.

^^^My Guess would be Rajasthan... looking at the name!
& Guess what am right...
Chand Baori is a famous stepwell situated in the village of Abhaneri near Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
This step well is located opposite Harshat Mata Temple and is one of the deepest and largest step wells in India. It was built in the 9th century and has 3500 narrow steps and 13 stories and is 100 feet deep...
@KETAN & All: I guess this should be our NXT Destination... What say? A 3-5 Day tour...

Saale chuppe rustam logg, Mt.ABu is on the charts, personal discussions, Hmmm...Originally posted by ketan_r15 View PostHey all..thanx for the info guys..

Anyways, I wont suggest Mt.Abu in Monsoons, ghats are preety narrow &
continious 30-40 kms riding can drive anyones mind away with beautiful scenaries around... you got what I mean? Its dangerous.
+ Chand Baori in monsoons, I dnt think it'll be a good idea to climb down to that well in that season, as it'll be pretty well FILLED in the season...
Am very much keen on planning a NXT big ride...
But wana make it a better n safer too, with no incidents like previous ones (Ketan you kno what am talking abt, right!)...

SB himself had told everyone that he's gonna go to Mt. Abu in Winter for sure. He's got his uncle's home there. So accommodation won't b a prob. I had confirmed my presence then only. Mt. Abu is always my fav..
