    • arrgh! i wanted to do rajasthan!
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

I have only 4.5 days in my hand(Blame Autoexpo for that as I'm taking 6 day off there) else would have done Rajasthan this time round. For Rajasthan kind of place I need a minimum of 10days and that's why I'm opting for seedha jake left.

              • Thought of sitting for a while and figure out a route map/plan but this is not me, i am either not competent to do distance calculations or may be i am not the guy who plans things...(reminds me of the Joker!!!!)

Day1: 6:00am - Fountain Hotel - Udaipur - 770kms to reach Udaipur by 10:00pm - midnight. Crash and relax see Udaipur by morning on Day 2.
Day 2: By Noon: Udaipur - Mount Abu - 185kms to reach by evening chill out at Abu
Day 3: Mt. Abu - Jaisalmer - 400kms (approx someone please check)....Jaisalmer is the place that i have wanting to be for Long.
Day 4:Jaisalmer - Alwar (Banghar) - 590 kms Pee in pants and then return back.
Day 5: Alwar - Thane - 1035 kms to be completed so that on the 31st of Dec by noon i am home.....

Honestly i have not even looked at any road map to work on the itinerary, but i have a strong feeling that the above plan is not doable in 5 days, someone may have to rethink

                Mumbai - Abu - Jaisalmer - Alwar - Udaipur - Mumbai

Let me know if this is doable.

Suggestions from Rajasthan Xbhp members would help

                • ^^well surely u are a practiced rider even thinking of doing 1000+ kms in a day
i know my limits and i know i cant do it, even thinking of that 770 kms is hard for me as i hate driving at night.
if u can spread the distance/day to a more like around 500kms then i can also come and i would love to do a long tour.

Anup, I think we are messing up the plan if we ride less on day 2, but ride shit more on day 4 and day 5! and peeing in pants will only make it even more difficult :P

On day 4-5 we should rather be closer to home! So it makes sense if we chnage the plan to

                    • To Satyen:
Thats y i dont plan. I guess you are correct. We can do as you say. The reason being i am covering all the places that i wanna visit.
Jaipur and Jodhpur are places that i plan to visit with Shruti probably in Feb by Flight.

Lets come out with a concrete plan by Sunday. I am tied up on Saturday, but i have free time on Sunday to list out places, with detailed decription and route distance
