Anyways here is a second Goa trip in 2009 - this one in November.

I am quite happy with the performance.. no probs with the battery at all even after using the bulbs for 3 hours non stop. Usage was mostly 60/40% 60% on low beam and 40% high beam. No probs at all. The horn was working fine as well.

It was early morning time, bike didnt get hot enough for it to start the radiator fan. Hence some power must be saved. It still remains to be seen how it performs in city traffic. But on highway it rocked man.. what light.. definitely better than the stock ones. The white strips get illuminated distinctly. Besides it looks kool

I suggest the pilot lights are more than sufficient for city riding,considering the illumination by the street lights suffice.
Can you post the pics of the light spread.Have you added a relay?

I havn't clicked any pics till now. I was thinking of adding a relay but havn't till now. I have also changed the stock horn to a better sounding one. I was worried if this'll add up to the power and gimme trouble during my pune ride but everything was perfect. The stock horn sucked big time.

Oh,you can use a roots dual headlight relay with the wiring harness and ceramic holder.At least takes the load of the headlight switch.If you are using a single horn set up then theres no need to worry about excess consumption..

yup... the shopkeeper showed me a dual horn..but i insisted on the single one.. Thanx for the info though

You seem to be absconding from the scene atleast on xbhp. what forums are you alive on?
i work for blue star limited, but i plan my leaves well in advance for the rides that undertake, there is nothing lucrative about me job, i am also liable for leave without pay as much as you are , i tend to utilize my leaves to the fullest extend.
i am not traveling as much as i used to previously. you seem to be quite a bit.

what day are your planning to visit AutoExpo in Jan. Let me know now, so i can manage my travel plans accordingly

To All:
I need to change the rim of my bike its spoke wheel and not an alloy. Where can i get the best rim? what are the qualities that i should look at when i purchase the rim?
I am also looking at purchasing/replacing the existing michelin tyres that i have, how much would michelins cost at Sion? Where in Sion do i get/ can someone give me the persons mobile number, address etc.

1) Havent been there
2) Spending more time on known places
3) Spending time to relax...




While I have these two plans, a third shorter but nastier and crazy plans are being cooked with another friend! This would cut time spent in Udaipur, Jaipur and Mt Abu and would accomodate Jaisalmer!

Any advice here?

Be careful when trailing the MT

Plan seems Okiesh as of now...but should cover interior more rather than the "typical" places...But if yor will be there for 1st time than ,the famous places are a must visit.

Planning to book FLIGHT for 8th night(FRI) & come back on 10th evening (SUN)

@ALL: People coming for AUTO EXPO in JAN Plz confirm here, as we need to book Flight tickets by 8th DEC, rates are gonna get high after that.
Current rates are 3K.

8th night - fly to Delhi
9th - AUTO EXPO n g2g (possibly)
