Bun Burnt...fingers Burnt..& more imp. Heart burnt

Don't know where to post this...hence here...

Me,ketan & spidy are just back from a hell of a ride of 2450 kms in 2 days...

highlights:
-Bun burner attempt which failed
-riding on nh4,Nh7 & Nh46 nearly upto chennai
-support & see off from mumbai
-support & guides from bangalore
-toll road of bangalore - freaking substitute for track
-no proper food & no proper sleep for so many hours
-all 3 bikes performing flawlessly through the entire journey

special moments
-3 bikes ripping away to glory for miles & miles
-fatigue causing hallucination while riding
-spidy getting freezed up in the deadly cold on the highway
-spidy saying get a helicopter & pick me & my bike uptil Mumbai - well everybody had the same thoughts towards the end of the journey
-proper punjabi dhaba in the state of karnataka

conclusion:
lotsa stuff to tell but better left for another day.we did complete the ride which was important but the unsuccessful attempt did hurt .Even than the endurance required for such a ride did leave a permanent impression on us as well as a lot of valuable lessons learnt...

Whoa razor,absolutely insane picshope i make it to the tracks one day.Seriously,the michelins on my bike have boosted up my confidence in corners.

ha ha.. yeah finally on track man corner speeds, some corners at 105 and some at 75 the track was a wet from the rains.. so could not rip totally..

guys am shifting to nasik for 2 months

max budget 1000 bucks..preferably no sharing or twin sharing max.

I was waiting for someone to write something bout this. Thanz for starting off

* Well add to that 100kms for me and spidy.. In fact the 50 kms on the return journey from Panvel to Dadar after riding for so many hours were equivalent to riding 150kms in peek hour traffic and heat.

** Yeah..even after the aesthetic mods done to the bikes.. JK.. no pun..

I was the only noob rider amongst the Hyper riders and that definitely must have affected the ride.
Sorry guys, if at all I caused any trouble or delay during the ride which guided to the failure of the record attempt.
I tend to get tired soon. All I can say is this was an eye opener ride. Showed everyone where we stand and where others do.

All I can say is this ride has definitely etched some momories on my heart and this ride is right up there on the number one position of all my rides till date. I gotta learn a lot from the more experienced riders out there and improve myself. Showed new meanings of the words Team work, co-ordination, fatigue, endurance, etc.

Thanx a lot for all your Support DK and spidy. Spidy is amazing when leading the group. He indicates every turn with the blinkers in advance. Hats off to your night riding. I still wonder how you led us through the bad patch between Hubli and chitradurga. Amazing..! DK's humor helped us stay alive in the extreme conditions. Kaam Dev baba ki Jai ho..!

Bun burner 1500 - 1500 miles in 36 hours

Bun burner 2500 - 2500 kms in 36 hours.

We were attempting the Bun Burner 1500. Yes, if you see it distance wise it's completed but it wasn't done in that particular time frame. We aborted the ride exactly at the half way mark. The return journey was bit relaxed one with a few stops in between including a power nap stop.

Some special moments from my end..

* The 3am see off - was wonderful. Thanx Bibek, Atul and Ani. The auspicious cigarettes by DK..
* The ride was a total rip off.. Awesome. These machines are just wonders. How well they performed even after taking so much beating and such stress.
* Roads in south are just OOOSUM.... The only thing sucks is the lack of help and support. There isn't a single work shop/mechanic/hotel for miles on that road which makes it a bit riskier when riding solo.
* The look on people's faces when we 3 used to stop at any hotel or pump..
* The wind mills on the way..Wow..they looks beautiful.
* RIDING ON NH4/NH7/NH46/NICE ROAD(except the bad patch of course) WAS LIKE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME. SIMPLY AMAZING. YOU GO INTO A TOTALLY DIFFERENT TRANCE. JUST THE WHITE STRIPES,THE CURVED AHEAD AND THE 3 DIGIT SPEED ON THE SPEEDO METER. WOW...!
* The hotel we stayed at.. Hotel Satish.. ROFLMAO... Total communication gap between the hotel fella and us.
* DK aka Dkool aka kaam dev baba ka early morning pravachan..
* People literally asked us - "Tum log roadies se ho kya? " Some were not ready to believe tht we rode all the way to Chennai from Mumbai..
* Dosas we had before Hosur.. I was after sambar and chatni like crazy.. Mouth watering stuff.
* Spidy ki halat... hahahahahahahaha... You are funny guy man..hehe.
* Time spent with the truck driver whose truck had brocken down on NH4 at 4am in the morning. Sitting in the middle of the road with fire in front to warm ourselves at that hour of the day was something I had never done before.
* Spider special - CHICKEN AND SEVAIYYA...!

Thanx dude. Well I dont think any new thread for this will be started. We have some snaps of the ride which we'll post here. We would love to share the exprience personally in some g2g rather than writting here on the forum.
