Last time I had Chetan aka ChetanPulsar with me while exiting the city so I din't bother to think about the route much. There is a bit of confusion from Khopoli to Panvel MCD. Well not from Khopoli exactly, from Panvel MCD till I get onto the straight road for Khopoli.

So was wondering if someone was in the vicinity maybe they could guide me till MCD.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, yes I am coming. Will be there day after tomorrow!

Great ride man....
doing a ride this far and this short time is something that i always wished but never was able to, rather never tried. It almost seems impossible to meet the deadlines...
Its ok that you"ll were not able to meet the targets. The very fact that you"ll decided that you"ll can make it showed the confidence and the eagerness to achieve something. Truely impressive and a great ride there. I just saw some small notes on the ride that you"ll had couple of pages back, is there some triplog written somewhere where we can know what went through and the road conditions, time taken etc also add some masala factor...i mean i can expect that when DK/Spidy are around

+1 and our chota "bum-heater" plan seems to be jeopardized with this new update....

Khopoli > head straight.... > Avoid Panvel Bypass Road > Take JNPT road > Take Left... go straight, you will see the McD signage...


BTW Rest of Panvel guys, are we allowed to ride two wheelers on Panvel bypass road?
I have been riding 9and read riding hard) on that road for some time... there are NO warnings anywhere there asking you NOT to do so like everywhere else on the express highway. Never been flagged\caught.... was I just lucky?

I did some small rides like one this Sunday..Kolad for River Rafting ( not luck though..then rode to Alibaug from there on...returned the same evening itself..
anyway was there at a beautiful resort Versoli Beach Sanman Beach Resort - Home Page we mumbai Xbhp can plan a nice G2G there.....

Don't know where to post this...hence here...

Me,ketan & spidy are just back from a hell of a ride of 2450 kms in 2 days...

conclusion:
lotsa stuff to tell but better left for another day.we did complete the ride which was important but the unsuccessful attempt did hurt .Even than the endurance required for such a ride did leave a permanent impression on us as well as a lot of valuable lessons learnt...

Hell of a RIDE! yeh!!! sure it was.
Lesson's learnt, Bum's burnt & Experience earned... Phew!
DK & Ketan, amazing stuff & endurance guys, just amazing!
**In a sense (that says INDIAN ROADS & TRAFFIC) we won... CHEERS!!!

Thanks alot to Samyaza, Prafultripathy, Darth veda for guiding us through that madness of Bangy peak hour traffic & again thx guys, for waiting so long for us.

P.S: Praful is one crazy hell of a rider, I dunno how we all tagged him, he just rides crazy n same time very safely, unbelivable, hats off.

* Well add to that 100kms for me and spidy.. In fact the 50 kms on the return journey from Panvel to Dadar after riding for so many hours were equivalent to riding 150kms in peek hour traffic and heat.

** Yeah..even after the aesthetic mods done to the bikes.. JK.. no pun..

I was the only noob rider amongst the Hyper riders and that definitely must have affected the ride.
Sorry guys, if at all I caused any trouble or delay during the ride which guided to the failure of the record attempt.
I tend to get tired soon. All I can say is this was an eye opener ride. Showed everyone where we stand and where others do.

All I can say is this ride has definitely etched some momories on my heart and this ride is right up there on the number one position of all my rides till date. I gotta learn a lot from the more experienced riders out there and improve myself. Showed new meanings of the words Team work, co-ordination, fatigue, endurance, etc.

Thanx a lot for all your Support DK and spidy. Spidy is amazing when leading the group. He indicates every turn with the blinkers in advance. Hats off to your night riding. I still wonder how you led us through the bad patch between Hubli and chitradurga. Amazing..! DK's humor helped us stay alive in the extreme conditions. Kaam Dev baba ki Jai ho..!

Well you are not at all a noob dude, you are a pro. I was ready to do this with you guys, only coz i had confident in you, & I was proved outright RIGHT, CHEERS again!!!

Some special moments from my end..

* The 3am see off - was wonderful. Thanx Bibek, Atul and Ani. The auspicious cigarettes by DK..
* The ride was a total rip off.. Awesome. These machines are just wonders. How well they performed even after taking so much beating and such stress.
* Roads in south are just OOOSUM.... The only thing sucks is the lack of help and support. There isn't a single work shop/mechanic/hotel for miles on that road which makes it a bit riskier when riding solo.
* The look on people's faces when we 3 used to stop at any hotel or pump..
* The wind mills on the way..Wow..they looks beautiful.
* RIDING ON NH4/NH7/NH46/NICE ROAD(except the bad patch of course) WAS LIKE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME. SIMPLY AMAZING. YOU GO INTO A TOTALLY DIFFERENT TRANCE. JUST THE WHITE STRIPES,THE CURVED AHEAD AND THE 3 DIGIT SPEED ON THE SPEEDO METER. WOW...!
* The hotel we stayed at.. Hotel Satish.. ROFLMAO... Total communication gap between the hotel fella and us.
* DK aka Dkool aka kaam dev baba ka early morning pravachan..
* People literally asked us - "Tum log roadies se ho kya? " Some were not ready to believe tht we rode all the way to Chennai from Mumbai..
* Dosas we had before Hosur.. I was after sambar and chatni like crazy.. Mouth watering stuff.
* Spidy ki halat... hahahahahahahaha... You are funny guy man..hehe.
* Time spent with the truck driver whose truck had brocken down on NH4 at 4am in the morning. Sitting in the middle of the road with fire in front to warm ourselves at that hour of the day was something I had never done before.
* Spider special - CHICKEN AND SEVAIYYA...!
