1) i appreciate your concern, but maybe you should read a little more clearly. I said "i understand shorts are unacceptable". Which means i know that i should wear jeans.
i was just telling you & by reading all that you had wrote further, you totally misunderstood me.

2) i don't mean to be disrespectful in any way, sir but at least treat a fellow xbhpian with a warm heart. The same thing can be said in a better way. I know the importance of riding safely and riding gear. I agree that certain injuries are prevented because of them.
firstly, you dont need to call me "sir":d
secondly, not certain injuries, but riding gear can prevent permanent physical disabilities, fractures, fatal injuries & yes, even simple bruises. Mind you dude, i got personal experience with that.

3) are you asking me to be a complete hypocrite? Even if i don't wear a helmet or any other gear when i'm riding alone it's perfectly fine, but for the sake of the name of xbhp.com i should wear it only when i'm on a g2g? Man i'm not a genius or anything but it's almost as if you care about the reputation of a website more than a person's life..
am not promoting xbhp, but yes certain guys call themselves xbhpians, do stupid stuff n next we see that media n police blaming us for that, for being irresponsible riders n stuff. I just want to avoid that & prove a point that atleast xbhpians are safe n sane riders, thats it. Well i never said that you should only wear gear in g2gs, but you only said that you wont wear that in city. In a g2g we rip, we drag, we do stuff, that can provoke (unintensionally) anyone n do something stupid, thats why gears are must for a g2g.

4) riding with an xbhpian tag?? Who told you i have an xbhp sticker on my bike or that i go to every tom dick and harry and say i'm a member of this community? Unwelcome?? Please calm down man, this is meant to be a laid back community for the enjoyment (and safety of course) of riding. Why would you, being a senior member try and force some 'rules and regulations' and threaten me with expulsion just because i wore shorts on a small g2g ride of a few kms? You're saying that you wear your entire racing kit even when you take your bike to the next lane? Please, i don't mean to be rude but i just find it offensive how you tell me i'm unwelcome and i'm narrow minded.
i said "if you cant follow rules", thats the only case when someone is unwelcome to ride with us, it was a generalized statement i wasnt pointing at you personally.
And am not threatening you dude (you just made me laugh saying that:d)
if you cant read "if" thats not my mistake.
Again i said "people with closed mind", not particularly you. But people who find this suggestion offensive, then maybe i am pointing at you.


5) it's sad to hear about the demise of the r1 riders, but by giving me one example you aren't going to prove anything. Neither am i racing a litre class bike nor am i going at 250+ speeds. When i do have an r1, i will wear complete gear even when i go to wash my bike, i assure you.
now here you are talking like a kid, speeds of even 30 kmph can be fatal, so dont tell me what you are riding & at what speed.
Now when you said you'll wear gear when you'll have an r1, thats totally foolish (n this is what i call a closed mind)
now if this sounds offensive, i dont care because you are not making any sense here.
I dont know if that accident dosnt prove a point to you, what would! Maybe your own crash! Then i just hope that god never proves you a point, i dont want you or anyone crashing.
And anyways you own the fastest indian that reaches speeds around 140+ kmph.

6) as the earlier post states, we are highly affected by heat, largely due to heavy riding gear.
but i can assure you that a tee n denim wont save you when you crash. Plz take this in good sense & try to understand what am saying is for your n everyones safety.
Trust me heat n cold wont be good excuses for not wearing gears.

i am not saying that riding gear is useless nor am i justifying why i wore shorts/flip flops for that ride where none of the senior members were present.
But sir, by saying "when i do eventually come for my first actual xbhp g2g" you're clearly insulting us by indirectly saying this wasn't an xbhp g2g.. Why? Just because you were not there?
hehehe! I can only laugh on this.

i'm really sorry man but in all the 'riding safely' funda, you've lost the true spirit of respecting a fellow biker.
well if i start respecting every tom, dick n harry on road, i'd personally making a fool of mine. People who dont respect safety must not expect any respect from my side (again am not getting personal here)

i tried laughing it off, saying i was silly for wearing shorts but you just went on insulting me. I hope not all senior members are like this.

Frankly, there was no hatchet (coz if ever I get angry, you'll see a lot of red faced smileys & thats extremely rare)

@uttam: spidey says all these because of the frustration of hearing a lot of accidents lately! i am frustrated myself too.. all we need is a chilled hangout on the weekends after all we belong to the same biking family.. no hard feelings..

Also, sorry Razor and Winzee I am unable to ride to Mumbai tomorrow, or for that matter any long ride for about a month I guess. My uppermost rib has not joined properly, and it was troubling me for a past few months. I went today and got another X-ray. And guess what - TaDa!!! It now resembles Ronald's twisted magic wand! I have to take Sodium Dichlofinac shots for five days, along with a month-long supply of various pills!

But please do enjoy the gliding thing, and be the Batman you wanted to be tomorrow! And post some photos, but make sure you tighten everything up otherwise undesirable objects will show up in the pictures! The indication - if you hear a flapping noise, it's not the birds, it's the wind fluttering your.....!!! I know para gliding might be different, but who knows what will happen up there?!

btw no para gliding today.. we all felt like riding and we went to lonavala and then decided to have fun at kasara, rode half the way to nashik and decided on malshej.. cat and mouse chase we lost each other.. winzee ended up at nashik, jin and karkai went like 45kms on the opposite side and came back..

i saw you guys zipping past me while i was waiting for you.. tried calling 100 times and gave up

finally GS met me and due to the scorching sun, just had two chilled beers on my head reached home @ 2:15 with two bottles of beer on the bag!

@jin & karkai : glad you guys reached home.. i was almost getting a sun stroke

enjoyed malshej, my bike rode with no problems at the curves this time.. reddy's magic

hilarious moment was when a villager was bugging gs about the mt01, he said its a modified pulsar and nothing else

hahaha UttamGala....just reminded me of how I started with spidy on the wrong foot. Which was not very long back as i am still a junior here. (only about 4.5 months old since I got into bikes so u can believe me)

Dude...this guy types and whatever he types comes accross as too loud to anyone like you and me but, like someone else here said, it is the choice of his words that do him in. To be honest I have never seen a man who chooses all the possible wrong words lol. I dont think he meant anything even close to 'unwelcome' or 'narrow minded' but he just punched them through his keyboards anyways.

But you gotta meet him to know that I aint talking crap. You meet him and you will know he is actually not the guy u thought he were.

I am thinking of attending one of the bombay g2gs as i am itching for a not so long distance ride which can be completed in about 6 hrs to and fro, as I dont intend to bake myself to a cookie during the day !

Do you guys meet at Panvel ? Are there any cool joints to hang out at in Panvel ? Panvel sounds reasonable to me as I am afraid of loosing my way through the city if i entered that mamoth city, mumbai !

P.S. With no rides happening in Pune these days ( More shifting less talking please :P ) I might wanna join you guys for kashid and might I mention, i like anything that is liquid and a few things that burn :P. Do you guys kill puneites at such g2gs or is it safe to come along ?
