My advice to those of you planning Leh rides:

1. Stop advertising that you are going
2. Keep the group-size small with only PUKKA PAID and CONFIRMED people included in the planning

It is fun to get 20 names on the forum and do all the planning and you end up with 2 people on the morning of the trip. That part isn't fun.

If you really want to go - just STFU and go. If someone else really wants to come along - they'll let you know in earnest.

Most of the planning does get done offline but having an online interactive forum does help in planning some things especially from members who been there & done that

I agree with GS, my plans were under the wraps for quite sometime, and so was my partner in crime Anup... (but he has a weird plan)
