Google Latitude is an application for Mobile Phones which has an active GPRS connection (and more handy if you also have GPS)

With this you not only get access to Google Maps, but can add gmail friends (latitude users) and also get their present (last known) location via Latitude.

If you have a active GPRS connection and can download Latitude then you can add me on the same name..at gmail dot com

Though he attempted 2000K, the road did the beating but he is only the second person in India to complete 1600K acc to my knowledge...

Thanks a lot guys! Thank you very much for all the wishes! I guess it's these wishes that have helped me complete my run in time DK bhau, thank you for posting.

Yes, as DK mentioned my aim was saddle sore 2000K but to tell you the truth I had kept my ride flexible. I hadn't decided a particular ride. I was gonna plan the things according to time and physical condition of my bike of course myself. I had also done the planning for Bun Burner 2500. As DK said, I was running in time till some part of the journey, but then some incidents took place which made me lose some valuable time. Am planning to start a new thread for this and will write a log of the ride. I'll mention the incidents in that thread.

But am a happy fella now Saddle sore 1600K/Saddle sore 2000K or Bun burner 2500..it doesn't matter to me much. What's imp here is the mental and physical strength. It's not a child's play guys, it's tough. Damn tough. Plus, NOW I understand how my luck was testing me to it's limits. A lot to tell. Guess, I'll write it on my blog or the new thread.

The experience was mind blowing. I am shocked at the Japanese engineering. These Japanese bikes are all together from Different planet. Even after running for 24 hours non stop that too at speeds mostly MOSTLY 115km/hr upwards and taking the worst beating for 149+149= 298 kms between Hubli she felt butter smooth at the end of the day while riding from Pune to Mumbai. Hatts off! And am loving her even more now. As of my condition, each and every joint in my body is screaming My butt, my saddle is definitely sore! Palms, wrists are paining like hell. But my mind is fresh! It feels so nice from the inside when you complete a task, a challenge. Wow! 26 hours of non stop riding! Those last few kms from Panvel to my home in Dadar were the WORST WORST WORST ever in my life. hehe

Thank you once again for all your wishes and support! And now am keeping my fingers crossed for the IBA to certify my record! Whether they do it or not but I have done my part and I know that! So am a happy person now. If they certify it, it'll be money and efforts well done! An Icing on the cake you can say! It's the collection of receipts takes more time, and fortunately I have ALL the required proofs and receipts! Bhagwaan.. ab tu hi bacha le aur certify kara de.

Thanks Spider dada! Your company would have certainly helped more and the journey could have been more enjoyable! Also missed your well guided lead sirji! I was remembering each n every moment of our last run on those particular spots on road. What a run it was.! Even I had kept that target that safety will remain at the top of the list but to be frank, the way I've ridden the entire return leg and especially the last 270-300 kms, is simply unimaginable! At least to me. I was riding right on the margin of sanity! Pushing the bike like crazy, squeezing between two overtaking vehicles with centimeters to spare! Gosh! That was fun.. some serious fun! Thank god, nothing bad happened and am back home in one piece. My mom was awake for the whole 26 hours. Sorry mom

Special thanks to DK, Bibek and Mandar for seeing me off!

Thanx Mandar for the last minute exchange of gloves and Thank you Ajinkya for the Camera

Signing off for lunch! See you after some time. Will start the new thread very soon!

                    Ride safe! Take care everyone!

I've posted the number, but I don't think he's the ideal person for tyres. Consult with him and see if he can provide you with the tyres otherwise check with Sign Tyres at Sion, Mumbai. I personally haven't bought tyres from him yet but have heard his name quite a lot. Winzee, Razor and guys buy tyres from him, especially the michelin tyres n all. So he he should be of some help. Winzee and Razor may shed some light on this.
                              Good luck!
