We are going there to meet chicks on Valentines day.....thats why we are heading on respective bikes

If it was some other ways about it...we would have travelling on a single bike na....

Please suggest me a good, descent place to go with my gal for two days this weekend. I dont want to prefer a crowded place.
I was checking out an option suggested by Anup couple of days back.. Kolad.!
Seems a good place. Kindly advice me with places & resorts/hotels to stay if possible.
Dont want to go much far though. If nothing works out, will go to Mahableshwar, which am not much keen on.

The one said by anoop.especially the resort (i forgot the name ,give anup a call) is personalised service & quite good.
Tht's ideal location for a short gateaway.

panchgani though is better.so is kamshet.best bet wud be kolad though as it offers what you probably have in mind in terms of having a good time.

a vineyard stay at narayangaon wud also be something exciting.Also the weather is cold & enjoyable there at this point of time.

Kolad is on my top list, will check out there. In case of any changes, will head to some other destination. Who cares, as long as am on my bike..

LAVASA Incident: A guy riding with RSA, died in a fatal accident at Lavasa on last Sunday. He was wearing full gears n wasnt even riding at high speeds or recklessly. He crashed around a speed breaker & the cause of his death is still unknown (Sagarr46 will post the report soon).
A precious life had been lost without no mistake of his, lesaving behind only his friends n family in tears. To avoid such incidents PUNE xbhp had a GD g2g on HOW TO AVOID such things, here's a short overview of it & rest will be discussed in a Mumbai g2g in a day or two.


PUNE xbhp GD @ Rooplai (Pune) on 09/02/10...
So around 10+ xbhp'ians met at Roopali, Pune; including me to discuss upon the recent Lavasa incident & what safety measures can we take to avoid such incidents.
We decided upon some very serious things n measures to be taken with very valuable inputs from senior Pune xbhpians.
A lot of things had been discussed like Safety measures, Formation rules, Riding gear/insurance compulsion (which is already being religiously followed among Pune xbhpians), Worst case scenarios(Accidents), etc.
I also request MODs & other senior members from every corner of India to do the same & follow it religiously before every Ride/Tour/g2gs, after all its a matter of many LIFEs.

IMP: I am requesting senior Mumbai xbhpians to plz co-operate & show some maturity to understand the importance of Biking Safety & Brotherhood. So here's the very FIRST STEP...

Now this will seem rubbish & waste on money & time, to most, but it needs to be followed upon STRICTLY by Seniors & Newbies alike.

So from now onwards:
Senior xbhpians will be checking Bike papers & Riding gears before the start of every ride & if the member is found without anything missing from the below given list, he'll be sent straight back home, no matter from where ever he had come from, no matter how senior he is.


MANDATORY LIST:

Documents which needs to be carried(All in originals)
1)License
2)RC
3)Insurance
4)PUC

Safety Gear: No riding 'em.
HELMET: Full face only & tight head fit
JACKET: Armoured OR a thick jacket but accompanied with atleast Elbow guards.
GLOVES: Riding or Leather
KNEE/SHIN GUARD:
RIDING BOOTS / SPORT SHOES:

Also, It has been decided that If a member refuses to follow these rules (senior or jr.), MODs will be handing out either Monthly infraction OR permanent BAN from xbhp** & the person will also be not allowed to be the part on Physical xbhp bodies around India & so for the rides/g2gs/tours.
**I request to all the MODs to do this to whoever is found guilty.

- a propered Riding Jacket or
- ANY thick jacket but accompanied with atleast Elbow guards

4. The same goes with Marine Lines but that'll be at one end of the city and may be too far for some souls. Worli sea face is comparatively located equidistant.
5. I would have suggested reclamation but ever since the BWSL has opened police shoo away bikers from that place and even if we get a place to sit we'll be sitting amongst a crowd of couples busy working out

+1 for worli sea face......but decide the date...i am not in this weekend... Also its a valentine weekend....so see if people are available this weekend...
