I am riding to Goa this Saturday via Pune and Anuskura. Anyone interested in joining for part of the trip can buzz me. I_Live2RideJust flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

I would like to join you for igatpuri on Sunday if you don't mind. I'm new to this thread and never attended any g2g offline. I'm a novice rider, with only 1550 km on my odo. Please let me know if I qualify.Originally posted by whymail View Posti am planning a BF ride to igatpuri this sunday & prolly to ahura, charoti or amby valley on monday - as is the case w/ all my rides, i ride solo but in case any1 wants to tag along... he/she is most welcome!

Re: The Official Mumbai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Hey guys, got back on monday evening and it was indeed an amazing ride to beautiful Bhandardara. Alas, couldnt trek to mount kalsubai as my pillon hurt his foot just a day before the trip. Still, we couldnt just say no to our planned trip. Also had booked a room at mtdc.
Coming to the ride, started off sunday morning at 6.30am from Andheri, had a 40 min breakfast stop at a food court just before Shahapur and finally reached Bhandardara at 11 am. Crusing speed was 80-90 kmph. The best part was that the bike dint move an inch as we faced severe wind blasts throughout the highway.
Since the kalsubai trek was cancelled, we just visited all the nearby points and even though it did not rain, Bhandardara was as beautiful and serene. Left from Bhandardara on monday afternoon at 1.30 and reached home at 6pm with a 40 min lunch break in between at the same food court.
A few observations from my trip -
1) The road condition of the Mumbai Nasik highway is really good till ghoti. From ghoti to Bhandardara, the first 15 kms out of the total 30 kms is just ok with a few patches here and there, but the remaining 15 km of the road is in the worst of condition. And the roads ahead of Bhandardara are more worse. Should totally be avoided if you really care and feel for your bike's suspension and tyres.
2) On my way bak towards Mumbai, even the Mumbai Nasik highway after ghoti is filled wit patches and potholes here and there. I had to slow down many times to avoid them.
3) As it got very hot, i took off my jacket for a few kms and got a very bad tan on both my hands.
4) Top speed was 110 kmph on the highway itself.
Attaching a few pics below -

Riding gear: no armour except helmet, Regular jackets and regular boots.
Yes I believe I can ride responsibly. No excessive revving, no shooting out at green lights, no cutting lanes without proper signalling.( am still to develop my entire biking code).
If you think that's fine for your company, I'd be glad.
P.S.: will start assembling the complete riding gear in october, since i am right now preparing for a 2 week trek in the himalayas. and unfortunately i can make time and money for only one indulgence at a time.
Let me know if thats good enough for you. With a Ninja 650, you seem to be a speed monster, so not sure our styles would keep us riding together for most part of it too.. :P
Cheers!
