I got it for 750 odd but I guess prices vary from store to store. Get the biggest size (XXL I think is the biggest you can get, I use XXL) so that you can wear it over your riding jacket.

I have nothing to add over what other's have already saidOriginally posted by DeVille View Post@Sachinnair @JayD @rkakkar @viraj_s85 and others who went for the Malshej ride- What rain gear were y'all using? Any recommendations based on the experience?
Im thinkin of goin either for the Quechua Raincut Zip jacket and the basic pants or something from Duckback. These seem to be tried n tested and what everyone is recommending.
The only thing that bothers is none of the 2 have bright, colours that are visible in the rain
I'll attach pics of whatever I saw at the Decathlon store in Hyper mall at Ghodbunder that @whymail had suggested, who I guess has still not made a purchase :P

Re: The Official Mumbai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
@icemang : water absorbing!!! my exact sentiments... years ago, the 1st time i dared to wear that thing was enroute to amby valley... it was pouring elephants & dinosaurs... i was on my punny HH Splendor CD100. i didnt feel much while i was astride the bike. still had that weird & nagging sensation of water seeping-in from somewhere... when i got off just ahead of paatalganga / hotel ramakant junction for a su-su break, i felt as if 10 shashank's were astride my shoulders... the blasted thing was fit to be transported in a truck!!! i was like dafaq!!! that moment, i decided to donate it off!
@darkknight : ha ha ha my exact sentiments which i've been practicing this monsoon.
the only problem is... kambaqt dil maanta nahi...
come saturday night & the mind drifts out towards the rainy misty mountains, the pristine fog & the wet blacktop tarmac...
thus far, i've managed to stay inside under pretext of [1] not having rainwear [2] my tyres being too old [3] me being plumb lazy & what not...
dunno how long i will be able to contain myself tho!◦ ● 4-wheels move the body... 2-wheels move the soul ● ◦

Re: The Official Mumbai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Just bought Cramster Eclipse, Quenchea (god knows that weird spell) Rain hoodie for my bro.
Man that waterproof Hoodie is so cool.
And just 700bucks.
People who need it for office or if going to use without riding jacket. Go for it. !
Even the other full chain jacket worth 1000rs is not fully waterproof as said by OutdoorTravelGear store guy.
But won't be for me because wearing it like a Tee over jacket & removing would be irritating.
And I will have I look for some other bad looking stuff.
Bought some waterproof mobile packs also for saving fone and typing in full rain as I'm doing right now
In mulund and wasting time till my friend get off from college.
Bought a pair of shoes also for myself.
Donno ye brand name. I will post once I reach home.

Re: The Official Mumbai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Well obviously I was kidding whymail as is my wont
I began first by riding in rains, the other seasons were off seasons - if you remember some years back the rains drove out people outdoors same like frogs
Sird and deville: have been using duck back for around 7 years now .also recommended the same to many.nothing serves better.having to travel to powai and marol everyday from panvel for office till couple of years back by bike I can say safely nothing competes duck back in same price bracket
Also it fits over jacket and backpack if someone carries that.
In rains it doesn't mean you don't wear riding gear in fact its all the more necessary.
For visibility in night simply stick reflective tape or wear workman's fluorescent vest on top

As the link given by Sachinnair
::: SeasonKart.com :::
It shows 964 for both upper & lower ? :O
That's good
I'm ordering right now but confused with size :/
I'll need a bit loose to wear it over riding jacket & my jeans / riding pants.
My height : 5'10"
Weight : 58-59 around (No Extra / Round Tummy)
So which size to go for ?
:/
Sachinnair
You're is XXL as you said but you are 6 feet I guess (2-3 inch more than me)
So any idea which size I should go for ?
Is the XXL size big or just completely fit for you ?First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: The Official Mumbai Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
I tried Quechua over my jacket and XL was sufficient. Haven't tried Duckback yet- size might vary. These 2 look quite good, might go for either one- Work King Suit ::: SeasonKart.com ::: or SKY Rider Suit (Versalis) ::: SeasonKart.com :::Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostI use this one - ::: SeasonKart.com :::

Going by all the research so far, Duckback seems to have a tremendous following (Quechua is also very +ve) and I think Im gonna be-Indian-buy-Indian this time !Originally posted by darkknight View Post

The Work King Suit I mentioned earlier looks quite perfect on paper- It's BRIGHT, Price seems okay, it's got those reflective stripes so visibility is all covered
Now I only wonder where I can try this because most garment shops that stock Duckback have only the basic rainsuit I guess...The man who designed the Tower of Pisa was the First Biker ever...

There was almost one foot of water logging at Majiwada flyover today... A BMC clean up truck gave up at the flyover next to Korum mall and resulted in a massive traffic jam this morning... Pheww.. I was stuck for almost an hour...Originally posted by devils_friend View PostBhai mere, baarish mein mumbai k saare roads off road hi ho jate hai
